  It's been about 6 months since the last time I was in here, and a lot has changed since then. I first looked at their Betta selection to check on them because I live seeing their bright colors. Several of them were dead. I mean, completely dead with stuff growing on them already, so been dead for a couple of days. Almost every other one they had there looked like they were about to die. I'm guessing they haven't been changing the water frequently enough. But they probably don't care if they kill fish. Then, I am by the fish for about 15 minutes and a worker comes over by us but pretends to not see us and doesn't ask us if we need anything. So, I go up to the front counter where 2 workers are at the registers not doing anything to ask if I could get some help by the fish (I've never had to ask for help before here. Someone is always mor vigilant than this). One of the worker stops the boy who was going to help me And says she'll page someone. 10 minutes go by and someone finally comes over to help, and he was a complete jerk. Was cursing about having to get the fish out and everything. The original girl who saw me and didn't help then comes over and takes over for him. THEN, as they're bagging my fish up, about 5 other employees come over to fish area and started unboxing some new fish they just got in. They were literally just dumping them in the tanks. They weren't acclimating them to water temperature first or anything. Just tossing them in there! AND they had the flow up so much on the turtle tank that they couldn't even swim or move around. They were struggling so much in there, I just felt so bad for them. Ugh. Of course I had some issues at checkout too. Two people at the registers, only one checking out. The other is sort of just standing there looking at me awkwardly. And he was checking people out before, so.i am not sure why he didn't offer to help me. just didn't want to work I guess. I have never seen this terrible service at Petco before. I am not sure if they just have too many kids working there who really don't care about anything or want to work or what it is really. However, they literally had no less than 10 employees in that store yesterday, so there is absolutely no reason I should have had to wait 20 minutes for getting help with anything. And I am appalled at the way they are treating the fish. They are living creatures and should be treated as such.

  I was looking for a product and couldn't find it. The cashier went out of her way to bring me to the products I was looking for and explaining the product in depth.

  Petco had exactly what I needed for our little kitten who was not eating. Their prices were reasonable. I highly recommend this place for value and service.

  So, I got budgie from here a few years ago, and Let me tell you, He was my best friend. Late last year though, he did end up passing but, I thank Petco for giving me a friend. 5/5
