Entering my most honest review to date. We have used this boarding facility for about a year, things I have noticed: one of my pets requires medication and in 2 occasions has come home with meds still left (I always provide an exact count), this to me is indicative of missed dosages; I also left my pets there for 2 weeks and at pickup one of them was a lot thinner and a lot of food was returned to me (yes, some dogs eat less while at boarding, but I was never informed that my pet wasn’t eating or eating less, I had even left an appetite stimulant medication just in case, but this was never used). I brushed this off and opted to give them another chance. The last situation, for which my pets will not be returning, is that after picking up my dogs from a 5 day stay, one of them came home very sick with very bad diarrhea, during pickup, my dogs bum was stained, so I can tell he had some sort of stomach upset, but I was informed nothing had been observed. After a week of no improvement and multiple vet visits, he threw up what we believe is a piece of blanket or some sort of cloth rag which was not from our household; after heading to the emergency vet, it resulted that my pup had a partial bowel obstruction requiring an emergency gastrotomy surgery as he had multiple pieces of the same fabric knotted up in his abdomen. Our dog doesn’t use blankets at home and is only let out of his playpen under strict supervision (no free roaming, no yard or toys unsupervised), in addition to that, the only place he had gone to out of our home was boarding; we are 100% sure that during his stay, he got into something, for which we understand accidents happen, but the amount of fabric that was retrieved from his abdomen signs to being left unsupervised for a while. This was brought up to the attention of the owners, and although prompt response was received and an investigation was done, it did not reveal what truly happened to our pup as some of the video footage was already overwritten, unfortunately, we will truly never know exactly what happened. He is currently recovering one day at a time, but, we as a family have decided we will not be using this boarding facility anymore.
