I brought my puppy in Rowdy for his first visit last week. I was really impressed with all the women I came in contact with. Rowdy was super comfortable & they were so nice to him. They were so good at keeping him calm during the vaccine administration. We were in & out in half an hour. They answered all of my many questions. I’m very happy!

I'm not going to say that these guys are like bad vets or anything. We didn't even get that far. I'd like to share my experience with my big dog It was time to renew my shots on my dog Paul for daycare, I took him to the oak Grove animal hospital because it's very close to my home Paul has been to lots of different vets, I've never seen one react this way. The two little tiny ladies acted like they were scared of him from the moment he came in. Paul's a big black lab a little over 100 lb. He's very friendly and likes to jump on people, and they just acted like terrified of him from the moment I walked in the door We get into the exam room and they're going to give him shots, but they're insisting that like he sits and doesn't move and they want to touch him in all these places and just their nervous energy was making Paul nervous Next thing I know there's three little ladies in here dog piling Paul trying to hold him down and keep him from moving an inch. Paul started panicking rightfully so. He was squirming to get away making whining noises and when he finally nipped the air next to one of the little girls, she literally started crying So at this point I intervened and I said hey. Let's just back off for a second. He doesn't like this. They said yeah he's clearly got problems and so we're going to give him dope and put him to sleep so we can give him this shot Drugging him? this had escalated way too far. I said you know what... Let me think about this. I got my dog and I got the hell out of there Made an appointment with a mobile vet recommended by his daycare. They came out, they gave Paul several shots. It took like 3 minutes. They took blood for a heartworm test. And they absolutely fell in love with Paul and they weren't nervous about him in the least and so he wasn't nervous about them What were these guys thinking, holding down my dog, thinking a dog is just going to sit there and tolerate that, and then wanting to drug him? I've never had an experience like this and I've owned dogs for 20 years. Every other vet I've ever been to knows the procedure- vet on the left distract him with a treat, vet on the right stab him up a few times, it's over in like 60 seconds. None of this holding him down tying him up drugging him business

Edited to answer: Don’t take your dogs here. They only care about money. Could care less if your dog dies or not. They are refusing to help my dog that has been going to them for years. I have an emergency and they have refused to see my dog for 2 days. The new ownership has ruined this vet. I have spent thousands at this vet over the years and they are telling me to take my dog somewhere else. Even after they have misdiagnosed my dogs before I still went back. They will never get my money again. They don’t care about your dog just getting money for procedures your dog doesn’t even need. The receptionist Kaitlyn is rude and really could care less about your animal. I have been going to this vet for 15 years and have never been turned away. Don’t take your animals here they sold out to a corporation and don’t care anymore. I will not be calling you to ask for a manager because I asked Kaitlyn that day to speak to one and again I was refused. There is nothing that you could say to me to make me come back there. You are not here for the animals because when my baby needed you the most we got told on Friday around 1 pm that we could not be seen. But earlier that week was told if she doesn’t get better bring her back. You lost a lot of business because I do anything for my babies. I will never go back to a vet as heartless as yours. Kaitlyn needs to be put in the back where she has no contact with people. She could care less what kind of customer you are and she is heartless. We brought a sick patient in your sick patient hours before you closed and was told to go somewhere else. You will never touch another dog of mine. This vet clinic has no heart and does not care about your pet. They only care about money. They constantly misdiagnose problems as well so beware if you take your animals here.
