  Richmond Road Veterinary Clinic has taken excellent care of our dog for many years. Dr. Smith is the best of the best. He’s exactly the type of doctor you’d want taking care of your loved ones. He is compassionate and genuinely cares about your pet and family (he’s called numerous times after hours or on days off to check in during tough times). He’s also excellent medically and has picked up numerous conditions that many others would not have. The entire staff is always pleasant and accommodating and does an excellent job. I can’t think of anywhere else to take your pet, whether it’s for a routine checkup, boarding, or during tough times. Thank you to RRVC for always providing such great care!

  I filled out a new client form for the Richmond Road location and provided my driver's license number and other personal information. After waiting over a week for an appointment, I called and spoke with Madison. She was very rude, snippy, and entirely uncompassionate, telling me I never submitted anything. I am very concerned about where my personal information—including my address, phone number, and driver's license—went, since the form submitted successfully. Madison then informed me they couldn't see my cat for another week or two because I was a new client. I had waited over a week for someone to already contact me about making an appointment. A simple apology for a technical error would have gone a long way, rather than blaming me. She was very hateful and rude. They need to put her in the back cleaning toilets. I bring in a lot of business for my current Veterinarian. Madison just ruined that for this Veterinarian clinic because I will never try to make an appointment here again. So now I’m left with wondering where all my personal information went, when I submitted the form correctly.

  Richmond Rd veterinary clinic is an exceptional vet clinic located in Lexington Kentucky. The staff is always polite and attentive. They have an exceptionally clean and sanitary clinic that I would absolutely recommend to anyone needing veterinary care in their area. Each time I have worked with Richmond Rd veterinary clinic to assist a client with pet cremation and aftercare services, the staff has always been very professional and compassionate. They truly care about their clients and the pets. I highly recommend this clinic.

  We began our relationship with Richmond Road Vet forty-eight years ago with the adoption of our first cat. Now, forty-eight years later, we still use Richmond Road Vet to help us keep our four dogs and one cat healthy and happy. The staff and Veterinarian doctors there are exceptional in every way. We are always greeted with smiles and efficiency during our visits. Dr. Smith and his Veterinarian team are knowledgeable, highly experienced, and most of all always kind gentle, and loving with our pets. The facility and surgical center are spotlessly clean and well equipped with a comfortable reception and waiting area. Pet records are detailed and will be emailed upon request to simplify pet insurance claims. There may be less expensive veterinary clinics in the Lexington area, but we believe the excellence in care justifies any price difference. I am thankful to have our pets cared for by the Richmond Road Veterinary Clinic and highly recommend their comprehensive medical compassion and support,
