  ​I cannot thank the staff at Bluegrass Veterinary Specialists + Animal Emergency enough for the incredible care and respect they showed during one of the hardest moments of my life. ​My sweet girl, NovaKane, was full of life and zooming around just the day before she passed away with a sudden battle with canine hemangiosarcoma. When it was time to say goodbye, the team here went completely above and beyond. They treated her like royalty, even bringing her a plate of their own food to enjoy. The absolute respect and tenderness they showed my baby in her final moments is something I will never forget. ​Not only were they incredibly sweet and comforting to me during the process, but they were also extremely fast with her cremation. To top it off, I received a beautiful sympathy card signed with well wishes from the staff, which completely made my week. ​They made an incredibly painful grieving process just a bit easier to bear. I am endlessly grateful for their compassion and the beautiful treatment they provided for my NovaKane. Highly, highly recommend them.

  Not a wonderful experience at all. My dog was vomiting water and pooping blood and I had to wait in a dirty room for 3 hours. Then I felt like I was pressured to get their treatment and meds. Vet was not friendly and pressured most expensive option. I just wanted to get out of there and felt like the only way was to accept $500 meds and treatment. Do not recommend even if it’s an emergency!

  Our dog had an emergency surgery that lead to a secondary issue. They recognized an issue and responded appropriately. Highly recommend, a good vet and excellent service.

  I brought my boy in in a panic because he ate raisins. The vet was courteous and sweet, and the tech (Alexis) went above and beyond to answer all my questions throughout the night. They spent time talking to me even though I know they were busy. Both employees of the year!! Thank you again.

  This vet has helped us so many times. We’ve lost two pets here and they are so compassionate and helpful. With this visit, they were quick and reassuring. Cleaned his wound and sent him home with meds. I did suggest moving the candles to the center of the counter because when we first came in someone was at the desk and we didn’t see the lit candles. We were talking about our fur baby and she had just lost hers. I felt bad.
