This place charged us an unbelievable amount of money and tried to charge more, claiming our cat had a collapsed lung. We couldn't pay their fee, so decided to see if it would heal on its own, as they claimed it could. Two weeks later, we took her to a vet's office to have an X-ray to check on her healing and they showed two perfectly inflated lungs. They also told us that lungs don't reinflate without intervention, basically letting us know that we were lied to and totally taken advantage of. DO NOT go to this place unless you want to throw money out the window. They apparently gave us fake X-rays and then attempted to charge us $800 more to do a procedure that she did not even need. SCAMMERS! If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would.

I am deeply disappointed and honestly traumatized by my experience at this emergency vet. My dog had been experiencing fatigue and vomiting off and on, and when he suddenly became very sick, we rushed him there because no other vet had answers for us.
As soon as we arrived, they immediately took him to the back and would not allow me to stay with him or even see what was being done. He was back there for nearly three hours before anyone finally came out to tell me they wanted to keep him overnight for additional testing that would cost nearly $3,000.
When I told them I wanted to take my dog home and follow up with our regular vet instead, they refused to bring him back to me until I paid for services. The entire situation felt cold, rushed, and focused on money rather than compassion. I never even got to witness what care was supposedly being provided because I was not allowed in the treatment area.
What hurts the most is that when they finally brought my dog back to me after another long wait, he was in far worse condition than when I brought him in. He could barely move. They claimed they were “trying to make him comfortable,” but seeing him like that was heartbreaking. Looking back, it feels like they knew he might not even make it through the night, yet the focus remained on expensive testing and payment.
This experience has left me devastated. I hate knowing that some of my dog’s final moments were spent in a chaotic environment away from the people who loved him most. Families bring their pets to emergency vets during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives, and they deserve honesty, compassion, and transparency — not to feel taken advantage of.

Terrible! My 13 week old puppy broke his leg. Waited over 2.5hrs without any communication. When I finally asked what was going on, they said my pup was low priority and would need to wait at least another hour. We left without being seen. I have never been to a vets office that showed so little love for my animal!

A few weeks ago, we were on a road trip back from Florida to Wisconsin. When we reached our halfway point hotel at around 3:00 am in Bowling Green, our senior dog was unable to walk and collapsed on the ground. We found out this emergency vet was kitty-corner to our hotel and rushed her over there. Unfortunately, after running some tests, it was discovered that she had a tumor that had been growing in her abdomen and it had ruptured and she had to be euthanized.
The staff at this clinic was very professional and supportive. They offered different options and were patient with us while we made this very difficult decision.
We received our dog’s ashes via UPS a week or two after our visit, along with all of the mementos we were promised at the clinic. We were very impressed with the staff here and would definitely recommend them for an emergency situation such as ours. Thank you to everyone that was working that night!

Dr. Byrun, tech Melissa, and the woman at the counter (shame on me I forgot to get her name! She may have also been a tech) were incredible. I can’t speak for every employee working at this clinic, but these three women have my utmost respect.
I walked into my apartment after a 24 hour absence to find my cat unable to support himself properly on his hind legs. I got to the clinic around 9:25am. It took about 50 minutes for the tech to see me, which was an acceptable time frame to me for my cat’s uncritical condition and the fact there were three animals ahead of me (I’ve waited longer at human clinics). I was glad for the time so my cat could calm down and get acclimated to the environment (and for me to calm down from my initial panic). I left the clinic around 12:25pm. For the quality of care my kitty received, three hours was time well-spent. He doesn’t agree, but his preferred time is zero seconds at a vet so we have different standards.
When she did come in, Melissa told me she would take my cat to get a preliminary exam and bloodwork done. I asked if she could accommodate me staying with my cat for as much of the procedure as was practical (I’ve had terrible experiences with vets in the past when they’ve taken my cat away). She immediately understood and prepared the room so the exam could take place there. I cannot tell you how much of a relief that was.
Dr. Byrun immediately introduced herself upon entering the room and made small talk with me. I instantly felt like a human being with an animal that needed help rather than a number on her list. She calmly and thoroughly explained everything that happened through the rest of my visit. I never felt lost about what was happening during the exam or her theories about what was happening with my cat or the next steps to take or how much things would cost. She was unflinchingly honest and stopped at the end of each explanation to ask if I had questions, which I almost never did because of the way she brought things to my level. I never felt like she was rushing things along; every single interaction had room for me to process the information. Dr. Byrun is an exceptional medical professional and human being. Again, if this was the level of care that every patient there was receiving, then I’m glad it took me only three hours to walk out those doors.
Melissa was thorough in explaining the medication dosage to me and the woman at the counter was attentive and kind.
I cannot thank everyone I met today enough. I was a bit nervous about coming here based on other reviews, but I know that not every employee in a place of work is the same and every single interaction is unique with its own variables. Just know that if Dr. Byrun had her own practice I would be there every time my cat needed medical treatment.
