  Larraine McGraw is the worst attorney ever. Legal aid referred this attorney for my dad. She did not show up for court today and blamed us. My elderly father is the victim of mortgage fraud. A mortgage lender falsely claimed my dad refinanced his home almost 20 years ago. My dad's home has been paid off since 1994. My sister and I acted quickly ordering a 150 year title search on my dads home, title search free and clear, we obtained the deed which is free and clear since 1994, no new mortgage ever reported to registrar of deeds. We contacted legal aid milwaukee and was referred to Larraine. My sister (POA) explained everything to Larraine. My sister and I requested the mortgage lender provide proof of a refinance, loan documents etc... The mortgage lender then sold the loan. 2nd mortgage lender we requested the same information. The 2nd mortgage lender than sold the loan to a 3rd mortgage company who is now attempting foreclose on my 85 year old dad's home, our childhood home. My dad was a welder with A.O Smith for 40 years before retiring. In court Larraine does almost nothing, never communicating to the judge about mortgage fraud. Today was the judges first time hearing about amy fraud. Larraine never requested proof of the original mortgage loan in question. Larraine did state the mortgage lender had lost the entire loan application, closing documents etc.. So there is no proof of their claim. Not one document from 2007, proving their case. This was okay with Larraine, who then stated, well your dad acknowledged the debt in his bankruptcy. Larraine doesn't answer calls, only on the day of court, never return calls, rude, and never acknowledged elderly abuse or fraud and simply wants my dad to sign mortgage documents for a repayment plan for a fraudulent loan he never obtained. I don't want to think this woman is racist because of how this case was treated. But because of how she didn't give a dam about what happened to my dad. We even offered to pay her, hoping she would care. I pray we find an attorney to help dad. Follow up 8.19.26- We are still fighting to help my dad save his home. Legal aid appointed Atty Lorraine, who has been removed as legal counsel. In retaliation for exposing her total disregard for our defense now Lorraine is refusing to give my dad a disengagement letter so we can legally communicate with the bogus mortgage company. This how Lorraine responded to that email. We already felt like she didn't care about this case. We are black, Lorraine is white. Thanks Lorraine McGraw, for saying the quiet part out loud.

  I won’t go into detail about my case but I never had such great customer service/professionalism in my life until I hired horizon law offices. Hands down. I definitely can’t thank them enough and also for all Claudia Maro did for me.
