This filing was important because my children had been taken away from me, and I was concerned that, if the matter was not properly brought before the court, I could potentially lose my relationship with my children permanently. Fortunately, opposing counsel did not contest the late filing, and the court ultimately accepted the matter and held the hearing. Justin later told me that he was experiencing mental-health issues. I have proof and documentation supporting everything I am describing, including my attempts to communicate with him, the delays, and the problems that occurred during my representation.
