Catina Law firm is a very active firm. Joseph Baratta &Company Realty we run all are Real Estate business Buy and Sales though the firm. They are extremely attentive. The paralegals along with all the other people who handle the day-to-day are officials. Abigail handles all pre Real Estate State affairs and stays in full contact, and make sure everybody is going together. You can't ask for anything more.

When it comes to real estate, your team is everything. For every sale or purchase, I recommend Laura Catina and the team at Catina Law PLLC. Laura gets contracts out with impressive speed, and her paralegal, Abby, is truly second to none. They keep both the broker and the client in the loop every step of the way. My clients always thank me for the referral, and that kind of service is why I trust them with my business.
Our firm provides legal representation in commercial litigation, construction disputes, real estate matters, and various business-related legal issues. We focus on delivering comprehensive solutions for these practice areas.
Do you represent both individuals and businesses?
Yes, our legal services extend to homeowners, individuals, small businesses, and larger companies. We represent clients across a diverse spectrum of legal matters, tailoring our approach to each client's specific needs.
What states do you practice in?
Our attorneys hold licenses to practice law in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. This multi-state capability allows us to serve clients throughout these jurisdictions with their legal needs.
How does your background in litigation benefit me during a standard property transaction?
While many attorneys solely handle real estate transactions, our roots are embedded in litigation. We identify and close loopholes that could lead to future disputes. If a transaction becomes adversarial, we have the experience to protect your interests. Instead of referring you out, as your real estate lawyer in New City, NY, we handle complexities directly. We ensure every clause strictly serves your best interests and protects your important financial investment.
Do you handle both residential and commercial property transactions in the surrounding areas?
Yes, we do. Our firm is uniquely positioned to manage the purchase and sale of single-family homes, as well as commercial properties. When you hire us as your real estate lawyer in Rockland or Westchester, you receive comprehensive legal support tailored to your goals. We know investments require strict due diligence.
I am buying a home for sale by owner. Can you manage the process without an agent?
Absolutely. In these transactions, independent legal counsel becomes critical for your protection. We handle negotiation of the contract of sale and all due diligence. Choosing us as your real estate lawyer in Rockland or Westchester County means you never navigate the complex paperwork alone. We review every detail, ensuring the seller provides all mandatory disclosures before you finalize the property purchase successfully.
If an inspection reveals defects, how do you help?
The inspection report often triggers a critical round of negotiations. When issues surface, we negotiate repairs, credits, or price adjustments on your behalf and ensure the agreed terms are properly memorialized in the contract of sale. As your real estate counsel in Rockland and Westchester, we work directly with opposing counsel to secure a fair resolution before you are bound to the purchase.
Can you assist in purchasing commercial property under an LLC?
Yes, we can absolutely help. Many clients prefer to hold property in a corporate entity for liability protection and tax benefits. We handle the formation of the entity, draft the operating agreement, and ensure closing documents correctly reflect the corporate ownership. Working with a dependable real estate lawyer in Rockland and Westchester, NY ensures your business structures align seamlessly with your property acquisitions. Catina Law PLLC carefully coordinates corporate formation with the closing.
Who is my contact during the entire process?
We provide a personalized approach to every case and transaction. While a professional handles administrative tracking, your lead attorney will review your contract, handle negotiations, and attend your closing. By retaining us as your real estate lawyer in Rockland or Westchester County, you receive direct access to the attorney handling the core legal work. We ensure clear communication and that you are never left in the dark regarding your property transaction status from start to finish.
Do you review commercial leases if I rent space?
Yes! We provide a comprehensive review, focusing on hidden costs like maintenance charges, personal guarantees, and assignment rights. Having an experienced real estate lawyer in Rockland and Westchester County review your lease saves you from disastrous financial obligations. We translate dense legal jargon into plain English so you understand your commitments. Our diligent approach ensures your business is protected from unfair terms that could negatively impact your company.
