Oh man where do I start! This woman is a terrible lawyer very arrogant and does not do her job correctly, I think she forgets her duties are to defend the client not attack them. She told me to provide her with a whole list of things, I brought them to her the day of the court and just to tell me it’s not enough and that I’m going to jail for six months but wait it gets better according to a buddy of mine who is a court officer she was having conversations with the opposing lawyer right before that😂 this lady is a sell out make sure you take your time and money else where.

Horrible!!!! If I could give a zero I would. She was supposed to be a mediator and that was a big fat lie. Would not update me about any of the proceedings.
In response to the remark made no you were hired by both of us in your office as a mediator and as such you were supposed to represent both of us. You were misleading and dishonest shame on you.
Frequently Asked Questions About Beth A. Rosenthal, P.C.
What areas of family law do you handle?
Our law firm handles a wide range of family law matters. These include divorce proceedings, child custody and visitation arrangements, child support calculations, spousal maintenance (alimony) determinations, property division, and domestic violence cases. We also assist with adoptions, prenuptial agreements, and modifications to existing court orders.
How long does a divorce typically take in Suffolk County?
The duration of a divorce in Suffolk County can vary significantly depending on the complexity of the case and the level of cooperation between parties. An uncontested divorce may be finalized in as little as three to six months. However, contested divorces involving disputes over assets, child custody, or support can take a year or longer to resolve. Our firm works diligently to expedite the process while ensuring your interests are protected.
Do you offer mediation services for family disputes?
Yes, our firm provides mediation services for family disputes. Mediation can be an effective alternative to litigation, allowing parties to reach mutually agreeable solutions in a less adversarial environment. Our experienced mediators facilitate discussions on issues such as divorce terms, child custody arrangements, and property division. This approach often results in faster, more cost-effective resolutions and helps maintain better relationships between parties.
What factors are considered in determining child custody in New York?
In New York, the primary consideration in child custody decisions is the best interests of the child. Factors that courts consider include the child's relationship with each parent, the ability of each parent to provide for the child's needs, the child's preferences (if they are of sufficient age), each parent's physical and mental health, and any history of domestic violence. The court also evaluates which parent is more likely to foster a relationship between the child and the other parent.
How is child support calculated in Suffolk County?
Child support in Suffolk County is calculated using the New York State Child Support Standards Act guidelines. These guidelines take into account the combined income of both parents and the number of children requiring support. The non-custodial parent typically pays a percentage of the combined parental income to the custodial parent. Additional factors such as healthcare costs, childcare expenses, and educational needs may also be considered in determining the final support amount.
