  I would strongly advise against hiring this attorney. My experience with Evenson and her office was extremely disappointing. I discovered multiple billing entries where the amount of time charged did not match the actual amount of time spent on the tasks. I brought these discrepancies to the attorney’s attention and expected a professional explanation and correction. Instead, after I raised concerns about the billing, she withdrew from my case, leaving me to find another attorney to finish my matter. Having to find new representation because I questioned billing that I believed was inaccurate was incredibly frustrating and, in my opinion, completely unprofessional. I subsequently contacted other law offices about taking over my case and heard similar concerns about Evenson and her office: "That firm does that often", "Yes, she does that", "We have heard that before", and even "That is her MO". While I can only speak firsthand about my own experience, hearing that others had raised comparable concerns made my experience even more troubling. Attorneys are entrusted with their clients' money, legal matters, and often very personal circumstances. Clients should not have to wonder whether the time appearing on their bills accurately reflects the work actually performed. When billing discrepancies are brought to an attorney's attention, the appropriate response should be transparency and accountability—not withdrawing from the case. This experience has left me with a very negative impression of this office. Unfortunately, conduct like this contributes to the stereotype that attorneys are dishonest and more interested in collecting money than serving their clients. I would NOT recommend Evenson or this office. Anyone considering hiring them should completely understand the billing arrangements and scrutinize every billing entry to make sure the time charged accurately reflects the work actually performed.

  Mike should have listened more to what we had to say during our meetings as this would have been more helpful when we had our end trial with the commissioners .. Several weeks after the trial I meet with one of the commissioners by accident and was told that Mike didn’t help our case at all..this is what the commissioners quoted “ we would have been better off representing ourselves as Mike did us no justice “. We were told that the commissioners had no idea on what we were asking for on our final compensation. This was never brought up during the trail.. hearing this statement was very disappointing..he could have done better!!!
