- KKKoleAug 3, 20261.0After some time and finally getting my bearings I have come to realize something else. While I was in my work comp case my attorney was heavily leaning towards settlement and made it seem like this was our only option. I was wrongfully fired from my job during this case and had a huge insurance fraud investigation against me during the case. My name and small business were tarnished and it all happened across Thanksgiving and Christmas. The state threatened me with jail if they found any misconduct... then they finally decided I was in the clear after the holidays. My attorney had no reassurance or confidence of any kind and had zero opinions about what I could do or who could help. Now after some time I have found out that I could have pursued help for defamation, ADA, and MHRA ...but it's too late.. fortunately I could also sue for retaliation... but it's crazy how this company was fully involved for over 18 months and never said a word.. but they had no problem taking their money from me. In my opinion they owe me more than they earned for their lack of professionalism. (Based on estimates, I lost out on $40k-$150k because I was suffering a concussion and struggling to maintain and they couldn't be bothered to be good advocates) .. I even mentioned how he "doesn't have to stress because he's making a living, while I'm pinching pennies through my recovery." ..and my attorney was clueless to that concept.
