  In 2022, I became disabled and had heard horror stories of people trying to apply by themselves causing a severe delay in their benefits. I didn't want to get caught up in all of that. I searched for help and these people were the ones I chosed. They helped me through the process beautifully. I had my benefits within 6 months. They charge a fee only if you are approved.

  Took a very long time to get the job done. Was in dire straights before a decision happened. Everytime I made a call to find out what was going on. I was spoken too rudely. But eventually the decision was made. And they got their pay. And we are still recovering from my loss of a job. So I believe they're happy to get the cases but not to deal with you on a personal level. Glad to take a portion of the settlement and not deal with your worries or concerns.

  I found the experience extremely disappointing and believe prospective clients should understand what level of service they may actually receive before hiring this firm. My case took more than a year to be approved, and throughout that time Midwest Disability did virtually nothing to assist me\. After my SSI claim was finally approved, they immediately took nearly $10,000 from my back pay before I received my benefits\. During the entire process, I received only a few generic form letters, usually only after I called to ask for an update\. Whenever I contacted the office, I could never get past the receptionist\. Not once did an attorney speak with me or communicate directly about my case, yet they still collected their full 25% fee\. In my experience, Midwest Disability did not actively advocate for me\. They simply waited while my claim was processed and then collected a substantial fee once it was approved\. Unless your application has already been denied and requires significant legal work, I do not believe they provide the level of representation their fees suggest.
