  I retained this firm and mediator Rosalyn Loomis for divorce mediation involving property division. My experience was extremely disappointing. $10,000 wasted with 0% settled. The engagement began with substantial document review and communications between attorneys, and several thousand dollars of the retainer were spent early in the process. However, in my view, the mediation never progressed into a meaningful mediation process. There was never a substantive settlement conference, no exchange of settlement proposals, and no meaningful negotiation regarding the property division issues that were supposed to be mediated. The matter then experienced a lengthy period of inactivity while the mediator was unavailable, followed by a recommendation to wait for court input rather than actively pursue mediation. Shortly thereafter, the mediator left the firm and the engagement ended. When I later questioned the fees charged, the firm maintained that all fees were reasonable and declined to provide any refund. While I understand that mediation does not guarantee settlement, I expected an active mediation process directed toward resolution. In my experience, that did not occur. Based on my experience, I would not retain this firm for divorce mediation again.
