  Mortellaro Law was recommended by a friend. I had a free consultation meeting with Michelangelo Mortellaro. He answered my questions clearly and with confidence. Although the consultation was about the Medicaid program, Atty. Mortellaro explained that it was necessary to change my Estate Plan to coincide with the Medicaid regulations. I was so impressed with him that I made my decision right then for Mortellaro Law to do both our Estate Plan and the Medicaid application. Emma Pearson was my case manager for the Estate Plan. She was always accessible. For the couple of times that I had to leave a message, Emma always called back promptly. She was also patient when I asked for explanation when legal language confused me at times. Ann Bancroft was the case manager for the Medicaid application. Gathering the required paperwork was quite challenging. But Ann made my job in providing the required documents a bit easier by being clear and specific. Ann also helped me create and maneuver various portals related to the application. It’s obvious that Ann is a very experienced Medicaid Case Manager. I highly recommend Mortellaro Law for Medicaid Application and Estate Planning.

  My husband and I highly recommend Mortellaro Law to everyone! We are out of state caregivers and needless to say, felt very much out of our depth when all of this started. While in Florida, we were referred to Mortellaro Law twice in one day. This firm listened to our dilemma and graciously made an appointment for us late that afternoon. The attorney we met with was understanding and listened to our questions and concerns. She explained everything in understandable detail in order to navigate the situation. By the time we walked out of there that evening, they had paperwork started and we had peace of mind for the first time in three weeks. In the time we have been with Mortellaro Law, that peace of mind has not changed! They still listen and care. Our contact there, Ann Bancroft, Senior Case Manager, is an invaluable link to the continuing relationship with this firm. She has become such a friend and always sets our mind at ease when we have questions that occasionally come up on this "caregiver" road we travel. Lastly, we needed to speak with Michelangelo Mortellaro before Christmas last year. He called and we were extremely impressed with his attention and information concerning new questions with our situation.   We chose Mortellaro as a result of a presentation the firm gave at our "Over 55" residence for Independent Living. As a result we mad an appointment to sign up for the Estate Planning. As we had no prior planning, we opted for the "Package" which included all the documents for our Estate. My wife and I each signed up and the total was $4K. We then had to pay in advance and then were assigned a person to administer our documents and provide guidance. We then were sent drafts of all our documents and I made some changes. Yeremie told me I could not make those changes. I challenged this and after consulting an actual attorney, I was told I could make them. Then after spending another $200 for witnesses and notary services, I was told some of the signatures were not correct and we would have to get them signed and notarized again. Again, Yeremie spoke with an attorney and I was told everything was acceptable as it was. This was very stressful and for what we paid, I do not think we got the service we deserved.

  Working with Mortellaro Law was unquestionably one of the best decisions I made while navigating the complicated process of obtaining Medicaid for my sister. From the very beginning, Michelangelo personally spent considerable time speaking with me before I retained the firm. My sister’s situation involved multiple assets and was far from simple, but his confidence, experience, and willingness to answer my questions gave me the confidence I needed to move forward. I am incredibly grateful that I did. I especially need to recognize Laure Jean, our Medicaid Case Manager, who was nothing short of extraordinary. I have described Laure throughout this process as a literal angel, and even that somehow feels inadequate for what she did for my sister and me. Her professionalism, patience, accessibility, and level of personal care went far beyond anything I could have expected. Laure never simply told me what needed to be done, she made sure I understood why. She broke complicated concepts down, walked through them with me, and never hesitated to explain something again when necessary. Never once did I feel like I was bothering her or asking too many questions. What makes Laure particularly exceptional is the way her mind works. Her organizational ability is genuinely rare. She can look at an incredibly complicated situation from both the top down and at the smallest individual details, understand how everything fits together, anticipate what needs to happen next, and keep the entire process moving forward. I knew Laure was handling many cases besides ours, yet every time we spoke she could immediately pick up exactly where we had left off. She knew what had been accomplished, what remained outstanding, what might become an issue, and what needed to happen next. That requires a unique ability to organize enormous amounts of information while never losing sight of the larger objective. Coming from an engineering background, I especially appreciated this quality. I look at complicated problems as systems, with individual pieces, dependencies, risks, and an ultimate goal, and Laure approached our case in a way that immediately resonated with me. Her ability to see both the individual pieces and the entire picture gave me tremendous confidence not only in her, but in Mortellaro Law as a whole. Her communication was equally exceptional. Whether by phone, text, or email, Laure was responsive and accessible. During one of the most stressful periods my family has experienced, knowing that I could reach out, ask a question, and receive thoughtful guidance was invaluable. Most importantly, this became far more than simply working with a law firm. It became a genuine partnership. I never felt like I was navigating this alone. Laure was standing beside me throughout the whole process. Considering the complexity of my sister’s circumstances and the assets involved, the result was remarkable. We began the process around May, and roughly two months later, my sister received her Medicaid approval. There was never a point where I felt something would be overlooked or mishandled. I knew Laure was on top of it. There are people who do their jobs well, and then there are people whose involvement fundamentally changes an experience for the better. Laure is one of those people. My sister and I will always remember what Laure did for our family during an incredibly difficult time. Her intelligence, organization, patience, compassion, and commitment turned something that initially felt overwhelming into something manageable and gave me tremendous peace of mind when someone I love was depending on me to get this right. I cannot recommend Mortellaro Law strongly enough. Michelangelo earned my confidence from our very first conversations, and Laure reinforced that confidence every step of the way.   I cannot say enough good things about Michelangelo Mortellaro, Ryan Edmiston, Susan Dachs, and the entire team at Mortellaro Law. I flew into Tampa from Pensacola specifically to work with this firm because I felt strongly that they were the best choice to handle my estate planning needs. After leaving their office today, I genuinely felt like I received ten times the value of what I paid. Michelangelo and Ryan completed a comprehensive restatement and revision of my trust, powers of attorney, living will, and other estate planning documents. Their attention to detail was exceptional. They took the time to make sure every situation and potential scenario was properly addressed rather than simply handing me a set of generic documents and sending me on my way. When everything was finished, my estate planning documents were presented to me in a binder that was, no exaggeration, probably four inches thick. I’ve had other attorneys prepare trust documents that amounted to 10 or 12 pages. That is absolutely not how this firm operates. The thoroughness and attention to detail were on an entirely different level. Susan, their paralegal, was also exceptional. She kept me well informed every step of the way, was incredibly responsive, and made the entire process seamless. One of the things I appreciate most is that even as the firm has grown and expanded, it has not lost the personal level of service that originally impressed me. I can still pick up the phone and speak directly with Michelangelo when I need him. Having dealt with several other law firms over the years, I can say that level of accessibility and personal care is increasingly rare and, in my experience, unmatched. This was not my first experience with Mortellaro Law, either. I’ve had several dealings with the firm, and every single time I have walked away completely satisfied with the service I received. That consistency means a great deal to me. Estate planning is something you want done correctly the first time, and I wanted attorneys who would look beyond the obvious and make sure my documents were prepared for the situations you hope never happen but absolutely need to plan for. That is exactly what Michelangelo, Ryan, Susan, and the team did. Flying in from Pensacola was absolutely worth it. I would recommend Mortellaro Law without hesitation to anyone looking for an estate planning firm that is exceptionally thorough, accessible, professional, and genuinely committed to its clients.
