  After more than two years working with Urban, Thier & Federer on our auto accident case, I can recommend them without hesitation. John Urban, Matt Leibert, and their team were always knowledgeable, responsive, and professional. Seeing them work through each step of the case showed me just how much effort and planning goes into winning a personal injury case. Our case wasn't the "easy" kind. There were no broken bones or surgeries, and many of our injuries were the type that are much harder to prove and quantify. Despite those challenges, John and his team understood our situation, prepared us thoroughly, advocated for us every step of the way, and achieved an outcome that exceeded our expectations. Just as importantly, they treated us like people, not case numbers. We always felt informed, respected, and genuinely cared for. If you're looking for a personal injury law firm with the experience, resources, and professionalism to handle a serious case, I can't recommend Urban, Thier & Federer highly enough.   If I could give zero stars, I would. I spent $6,000 hiring this law firm, and the experience was utterly devastating. The amount of negligence, lack of communication, failure of services, and enabling of domestic volatility is disturbing, insurmountable, and disgusting. Please save your family and yourself from this firm—they destroyed our family and were completely terrible.

  Having pre-existing medical issues, I wasn't sure I even had a valid injury claim after being rear-ended in a car accident. I'm so glad I found Urban, Thier & Federer. John Urban explained everything in a straightforward and honest way. He along with Matt Leibert, aggressively moved my case forward. They kept me informed throughout the process, genuinely cared about my case, and achieved a settlement I was very happy with.   I had a consultation with this law firm regarding a very complex case, and although they ultimately were not able to take my case, I cannot speak highly enough of my experience with them. From start to finish, they followed up with me consistently and treated me with honesty, respect, and genuine courtesy. The attorney I worked with was incredibly professional and transparent. He took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all of my questions, and never made me feel dismissed or rushed. Even though my case was ultimately too complex to move forward with, he helped calm my nerves during a very stressful time and gave me a sense of hope and clarity when I really needed it. I would 1000% hire this firm in a heartbeat if I had the opportunity again. I truly can’t thank them enough for the time, care, and attention they gave me.

  I engaged the firm in November 2025 to assist with a European estate matter. After five months, the firm had accrued fees of $2,725 consisting of, quoting Christian Thier, "phone calls on your behalf, exchanged emails with you and created internal administrative notes." Absolutely no progress or resolution was made. Mr. Thier told me my emails to him asking for updates were routed to his spam folder. I terminated the engagement and was very disappointed in the lack of service from this firm.
