  I retained Andrew Shamis in connection with a claim against One Source Market that ultimately settled for 6 figures. When I received the proposed disbursement, I had concerns about the amount I was being allocated and requested a detailed accounting of the fees and billable time supporting the distribution, as they were only offering me 5% of my total settlement. After making that request, I received a phone call from Mr. Shamis requesting we split it 50/50- Because the conversation occurred by phone, there is no written record of it. However, I have retained the email correspondence and documentation relating to my requests for an accounting and the settlement disbursement. Due to concerns regarding the handling of my case and the fee distribution, I am pursuing further review of the matter through the appropriate legal channels (ABA) I encourage anyone considering representation to carefully review all fee agreements, settlement statements, and accounting records, and to ask questions before agreeing to any disbursement.
