- JBJennifer BandlowOct 8, 20261.0I had previously used Steve for legal matters years ago, so when he later approached me about working together professionally, I was willing to give that relationship an opportunity. As a business owner and real estate professional, I referred an easy cash transaction to his office. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. The closer was difficult to reach, communication was poor, and there were several issues throughout the transaction. For instance, my seller was charged for an estoppel that was never ordered, and it took over a month for her to receive that money back. When I brought these concerns to Steve, I expected him to listen and help resolve them. Instead, I was dismissed, spoken down to, and blamed for bringing the problems to his attention. In an email, I was even referred to as a “blamer” when I was simply trying to advocate for my client and address issues with his office. Mistakes happen in every business. What matters is how they are handled. In my experience, the lack of communication, accountability, and professionalism was far more disappointing than the original mistakes. I went into this hoping to establish a professional relationship and left feeling that I could not confidently refer my clients to this office. Based on my experience, I would not use or recommend this office for a real estate closing.
