- MMMarvalencia MillerAug 20, 20261.0I contacted Ellis & Bryant seeking help with an existing family-law matter and provided my case number to the front desk. Samantha Ellis returned my call and spoke with me for approximately 34 minutes. Unfortunately, the conversation felt confrontational and dismissive rather than informative or professional. Ms. Ellis focused almost entirely on negative outcomes and what she believed I could not do, without first asking what filings, documentation, receipts, or evidence I already possessed. When I attempted to explain that I had completed many of the steps she assumed I had not, the conversation became increasingly adversarial. It ultimately escalated to the point that I ended the call. I understand that attorneys sometimes have to provide difficult or unfavorable assessments. However, difficult advice can still be delivered respectfully, calmly, and after gathering the relevant facts. Based on the communication and treatment I experienced during this call, I would not feel comfortable retaining this firm.
