  Probate is already a stressful and complicated process, especially when your case involves different circumstances and you are receiving information about multiple possible scenarios. My main issue was simply that I did not fully understand what I had been told, so I reached out because I wanted someone to explain things to me in more detail. I was not “complaining” about the staff. I was trying to make sure I understood what was happening with my own case. I explained my concerns to the assistant and expressed that I felt dismissed when I was trying to get clarification during what I considered an urgent situation. I also explained that I had a plan in mind that I thought could make things easier for everyone involved. I was under the impression that my concerns would be communicated appropriately and that I would have an opportunity to discuss everything. The following day, I was scheduled for a call with the owner and office manager. I was actually relieved and excited because I thought I was finally going to be able to explain myself, clear up the misunderstanding, and move forward with my case. Unfortunately, the call was extremely disappointing. The owner immediately told me that he had been told I was “complaining” about his staff and that he was considering dropping my case because of it. I tried to explain to him that I was NOT complaining—I was confused, asking questions, and simply wanted things explained to me so I could understand what was happening. What made the situation even more frustrating was that I felt like I could barely explain myself because he repeatedly interrupted me while I was trying to clarify what I had actually said and meant. Instead of allowing me to finish explaining my side of the situation, I felt talked over and dismissed. His tone came across as very aggressive, rude, and confrontational. I was honestly shocked because I had never intended for my questions or concerns to become an issue. At the time, I was already stressed about my probate case and was afraid of having to find another attorney, so I tried to remain respectful and smooth things over. But after thinking about the interaction, I realized that I should not feel afraid to ask questions or seek clarification from the attorney handling my case. Clients should be able to say, “I don't understand—can you please explain that to me?” without being labeled as someone who is “complaining.” I wasn't asking for special treatment. I simply wanted to understand the legal process and what was happening with my case. Ultimately, the way the owner handled the conversation left me extremely uncomfortable, and I no longer felt confident continuing with the firm. Probate is stressful enough without feeling like you cannot speak up, ask questions, or explain yourself without being interrupted or dismissed.

  Great experience! I hired Korshak & Associates to prepare a legal document for me, and the the process could not have been smoother nor easier for me. It's something I could conceivably have done myself, but for a reasonable fee I now have it and the peace of mind of knowing it was done correctly.

  I live in Wisconsin and needed to have a quit claim deed executed on a timeshare I own in Florida. I found Korshak & Associates by searching for lawyers online. They were able to handle everything necessary to complete the transfer for a very reasonable price. And best of all it was extremely easy and the process went very smooth with their expert guidance and thorough instructions. Getting anything done remotely can really be challenging. This was a piece of cake:)
