My daughter hired Amanda Kennnedy to represent in her a child custody case. There was very poor communication on the part of the law office. Weeks would go by with no communication from the office despite emails being sent. The man who is her assistant was always condescending and acted as if speaking to myself or my daughter about the case was annoying and we were bothering him. Amanda did not advocate for on my daughters behalf whatsoever. Child support was also not resolved. Overall not a quality experience with this law firm.

We appreciated the polite staff and having some form of representation during a complex child support case, however, overall we left feeling like we had to manage much of it ourselves. There were repeated inconsistencies with payment classifications and balances, and we often found ourselves identifying issues and asking for clarification rather than receiving clear, proactive guidance. Requests to review and clarify payment history were made multiple times but were not fully addressed. Throughout the case, it often felt as though decisions were driven by the child support attorney’s position rather than strong advocacy for my husband. In one instance, an agreement was signed without clear explanation, and follow-up questions about those decisions—particularly regarding claimed arrears—were not clearly answered. The response to questions were forwarded emails from the child support attorney with no explanation or clear resolution. Only creating more confusion and frustration from our side. Toward the end of the case, my husband and I worked directly with the child support office and child support attorney to resolve the remaining balance and final arrangements ourselves. By the time our attorney followed up, everything had already been addressed, and the child support attorney indicated he would inform her. This was the day before court, and the matter had not yet been resolved on her end. Given the complexity of the case, we expected clearer communication, stronger advocacy, and a more proactive approach. Based on our experience, future clients—especially fathers—should be prepared to stay closely involved and ask detailed questions throughout the process. From a cost standpoint, we do not feel the level of representation matched the rate charged.

Mr. Chris Oswalt did an amazing job of representing my spouse and me in a unique and challenging family law case. We cannot say enough good things about him or this law firm. He and his staff were friendly, confident, and kept us well-informed on the status of our situation throughout the process. We felt like we were in very good hands with an attorney who was dedicated to the work and research that was needed to obtain a successful and positive result for us. We would highly recommend Mr. Oswalt and his associates for anyone who finds themselves in need of legal assistance or representation!

Chris Oswalt, was acting very agitated to work with me. He yelled at me and stated he's not holding my hand and he's not my girlfriend on 10/5/18. I hired him on 7/11/18 and paid him balance of $835 after already paying the $100 consulting fee. He was a nighmare to work with as if he was taking frustration from other clients or whatever out on me. I didn't raise my voice at him, he just interrupted me and yelled like a monster and I informed him I was reporting my experience. I paid $935 to get yelled at by a raving lunatic. What a waste, I wish I could get a full refund because that was unnecessary and I wish the call was recorded and could be listened to, my first and worst experience with an attorney. Refund and apology would be nice. I did not deserve to be treated like that. I never got out of line with Chris Oswalt. I'm so disappointed in this service experience. I paid my money and everything right away for him to turn on me like the incredible hulk out of the blue. I even let him know while he was doing it and he persisted. It was like he was trying to get a negative reaction out of me but I asked him why was he talking to me that way and he would just state he's not my girlfriend and he's not holding my hand, both responses of which I was like what are you talking about, "I'm just trying to get the service I paid for, not this treatment" Chris Oswalt at Robertson Law Firm is very unprofessional.
