I had a great experience with Extra Space Storage. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and secure, and the whole process was easy from start to finish. Chris was a huge help and provided excellent customer service. He was friendly, professional, and made sure everything was taken care of. It’s clear that they care about their customers and maintaining a great facility. I would definitely recommend Extra Space Storage to anyone looking for a storage unit!

I am extremely disappointed with Extra Space Storage and would not recommend them based on my experience.
I started at a reasonable rate of $87.95 in December 2025. It is now only the end of July 2026, and the price has already jumped to $128.50. The price has repeatedly increased every few months—first to $115.50 and now to $128.50. Each time an increase arrives, the initial quote they present is significantly higher ($191.50 and $142.62 in recent instances). Only after pushing back and negotiating does the amount drop to something closer to the current rate. They even give themselves a pat on the back by pointing out that they provide about a month's notice before the price change. This is unacceptable behavior, and no customer should feel they are being scammed by a supposedly "legitimate" and "reputable" business.
There is never a clear or legitimate explanation for these frequent increases. The pattern of quoting an inflated figure first, then "discounting" it once you push back, feels deliberately designed to extract more money while leaving customers feeling as though they narrowly avoided being overcharged. It comes across as scammy rather than a transparent business practice.
Storage should be straightforward. Instead, Extra Space Storage has turned it into a recurring negotiation exercise with steadily rising costs and no apparent justification. If you are looking for predictable pricing and honest business practices, look elsewhere.
