There is nothing unique about this storage facility. I would expect that for what they charge they should be clean as others have mentioned. Pricing is ridiculous. Our 10 x 15 unit started at $132 in December of 2024 and it is up to $204...a 55% increase in 18 months. No additional services, just a gouging.
My fault for not keeping better track of this, but a recent hack of my debit card and a credit card over the period of a week caused our auto pay to not process. I asked to set up via ACH and both Melissa (manager) and Shelly said that wasn't possible and I could only give my routing information and account number to them over the phone or make a trip to their office. It kind of defeats the purpose of trying to keep banking information secure if you provide your routing number and account number to complete strangers over the phone. By the time I went online to pay with a card which I wasn't happy about because of the potential for getting hacked again, I found that neither of these women knew what they were talking about and ACH is possible on their website. I paid today including a $40 late fee which could have been avoided had they provided me with the correction information.
I asked to speak to a manager or owner only to be told by Shelly that she didn't know who that would be and she could take a message and pass it up the line which I did not find acceptable. After requesting to be transferred to at least a manager, I was left on hold for over 10 minutes when I finally hung up. I did receive a call back from Shelly with a message from her team lead that someone would call me within 24-48 hours. I told her not to bother. If customers aren't important enough to them to help resolved an issue with a clearly upset client, they don't get to keep our business...especially when they think that gouging their clients by 55% every 1 1/2 years is an acceptable business practice. Check your billing!
