I want to start by saying that Andrew is AWESOME!
But I have been extremely disappointed with my experience at Extra Space Storage. I’ve only had my unit since June 2026, and I’m already dealing with a serious mouse infestation.
When I first moved in, I noticed a mouse bait box located near my unit. About three weeks later, when I returned to check on my belongings, I noticed that the bait box had been moved. I subsequently discovered mouse droppings around my unit and evidence that mice had gotten inside my storage unit.
The damage has been disgusting and upsetting. The mice have destroyed my recliners, chewed the rubber off my broom handle, and left droppings and other signs throughout my unit. It honestly looks like the mice had a party in there.
I specifically chose Extra Space Storage because of the location and the reviews, and unfortunately, I am now regretting that decision. I trusted that my belongings would be stored in a clean and reasonably protected environment, and instead I’m dealing with damage to my property after only a couple of months.
I will be looking to move my belongings to another storage facility as soon as possible. I strongly recommend that anyone considering this facility ask very specific questions about their pest-control practices and inspect their unit regularly.
This has been a very disappointing experience, especially considering how recently I moved in.

Andrew at the San Pedro location went above and beyond to help me secure the perfect storage unit. I was guided though sizing and pricing was excellent for what we are getting. It feels safe when you walk in, happy to know my home will be safe while we transition into SA from another city.
