Wonderful service! The techs let you know when they're coming, provide pictures of serviced areas and give tips on how to reduce pests in addition to their pest treatments. The techs are knowledgeable and kind.

Sales rep or technician…what ever he was came to my door talked to my wife giving the whole sales pitch. Said it would be 25$ for the first treatment then 89 every three months. Come to find out it was 30 for the first treatment and 89 a month for 24 months which wasn’t disclosed. Very unprofessional. Cancelled right away.

First experience with using Aptive so I can’t really rate them fairly yet. I will update if over time my rating changes.
Sales guy has been around a few times (note there is No Soliciting posted in our neighborhood so if you’re thinking such signs work, they don’t). Finally today we decided to listen to his spiel and signed up for their two-year treatment plan. The salesman (Tal) was personable but he does chase the sale pretty hard. Based on a few things I talked about with him, I don’t think he knows all that much about pests outside of his sales pitch, so don’t think you’re talking to a pest control expert in their salespeople. You’re talking to an expert at selling Aptive’s service. The base treatment is $29 (they claim a huge markdown to get you to buy). On the Pro plan, the monthly rate is $70 for two years. They do not come out monthly. They’re very mysterious about how often they will really be there. I expect it works out to 3-4 times a year, plus any extra call outs (which are supposed to be “included” as part of the service). Also, be aware that their contract states they can increase your rate by 10% per year. There is a fee ($199) in our case if you cancel the service before the two years.
AJ and another guy came out that same day to do initial treatment. They treated indoors and out, plus the yard. We didn’t watch them closely enough to say for sure whether they treated the whole acre but they did treat the main part well out beyond where the usual pest control companies treat. My husband did comment that the guy who was doing outdoors didn’t want to go into the back of our lot where there are trees, rocks and some undergrowth because he has already had a rattlesnake encounter earlier that day. That’s understandable, but the service is to treat the whole one acre. They should be equipped to handle the rougher areas (boots, gloves, heavy pants, etc.) of neighborhoods like ours.
The rating so far reflects lack of long term experience with this company. I think at this point that 3 stars is fair. If they do a good job in the longer term I’m willing to increase the rating accordingly. Also, they send you some random photos they take during treatment, I guess to try to prove they were there. I’m saving those to see if the same photos are reused.

“I had an issue with one of your employees while they were servicing my neighbor’s home. The worker initially came to my door by mistake, and more importantly, parked in front of my driveway, blocking my vehicle. When I let him know, he only partially moved his vehicle and continued to leave it obstructing my driveway instead of parking in front of the correct address. The red arrow is where he was servicing at and should have been parked.
This was frustrating, unprofessional, and inconvenient. I’d appreciate it if employees could be reminded to park appropriately and respect neighboring properties when providing service.”

This is my initial review for this company, but the second time I have signed up with them. I decided to try them again because the sales consultant was very polite, professional, understanding and considerate. She listened to my concerns about my past issues, addressed them all and I felt reassured. I rated them 4 stars because there was some mix up on the scheduling of my initial treatment, however, when I contacted the sales consultant, she was able to get it fixed.
James the servicing tech came, he too was very polite and professional. He walked around the property with me and explained what he was going to do, he targeted all the areas I was concerned about, and sent photos indicating the treated areas after.
Again, this is my second time with this company. My hope is that there are no more scheduling conflicts, and I can give a 5 rating in the future.
