  We are extremely disappointed with our experience with Hamlin Pools. We were new to the area and spent a significant amount of time shopping around and comparing pool companies. We were referred to Hamlin because of their reputation, and ultimately chose them because they came in with a competitive offer and gave us confidence that we were making the right decision. Unfortunately, our experience after signing the contract has been incredibly disappointing. After we went under contract, we were told that Hamlin had undershot the cost of the project and could no longer honor the price we had agreed to. We were then asked to pay approximately $20,000 more, despite already having a signed contract. Since then, the communication and follow-through have been just as frustrating. We have repeatedly tried to contact the company for clarification and an update on what is actually happening with our project. I even reached out directly to Hamlin, only to be referred right back to our representative, and we still have not received a clear answer or meaningful follow-up. At this point, we have a signed contract and are simply being left hanging with no clarity about the status of our project or what Hamlin intends to do moving forward. We understand that mistakes and unexpected issues can happen in business. What is unacceptable is entering into a contract, subsequently telling the customer that the agreed-upon price can no longer be honored, and then failing to provide consistent communication or a clear path forward. We chose Hamlin specifically because of their reputation, which is what makes this experience even more disappointing. This has been extremely frustrating and, in our opinion, is simply bad business. Customers should not have to repeatedly chase a company for answers after signing a contract. We sincerely hope this is not representative of how Hamlin Pools normally operates, but based on our experience so far, we cannot recommend them.
