  They have everything! There are things for crafts you didn't know you needed until you saw it there! They have the Rit Fabric Dye at the lowest price! I have to go when I have more time. Too much to see!

  I recently came into the store to return a yarn winder that broke during the very first use and ruined two skeins of yarn in the process. The first thing the cashier, Beth, said to me was, “Well, did you read the directions?” Yes, I did. I’m fully capable of following basic instructions, and the immediate assumption that I caused the issue was rude and unnecessary. What made the interaction even more frustrating was that both Beth and the co-manager kept insisting that the broken piece on the yarn winder was external when I know for certain that it was internal. I had already tried troubleshooting the item myself before bringing it in. It was defective. At one point, I realized there was a fourth item in the return bag that I did not mean to return, so I simply asked if I could see the bag again to grab it. Beth bent down, picked the item up, and threw it across the counter toward me saying, “What’s this? Here, I don’t need that.” That was incredibly unprofessional and honestly just disrespectful. The co-manager eventually approved the return for the damaged yarn but made sure to repeatedly point out that they “normally don’t do returns like this” and that this was a “one-time thing.” We are talking about a $32 return involving a defective product that damaged other merchandise that I fully intended to replace and continue shopping for in the same store. I think this corporation can afford that dollar amount for a refund that would have returned seven fold in future purchases. I shop at Hobby Lobby on a weekly basis, sometime multiple times a week, and spend a lot of money on supplies for my projects, but this interaction left a really bad impression on me. I don’t appreciate being treated like I was incompetent, being challenged after repeatedly explaining the issue, or having items thrown at me over a completely reasonable return request. I will be sure to go out of my way to other locations than visit this store again. It’s a shame.
