After completion of the pool we had a lot of flooding on the deck. They told us we need to have plumber clear the lines. After paying nearly $600 to have a plumber troubleshoot we found that the drain lines were never terminated and were just buried. They did admit it was their mistake and fixed the drain but still refuse to reimburse the plumbers invoice.

This company doesn’t have good workmanship . Take a look at all the bad reviews and the pictures. They have screwed myself and others with very very pool quality pool installs. They are trying to sue me for 7,000 for an unfinished patio to our pool. Glad I have all phone recordings from the beginning
Hobert Pools and Spas installed a spa and outdoor kitchen for me, which required digging up my backyard. Dean Short was my main point of contact before and during construction, and Byron Hood handled warranty afterward. They showed up and did the install. That part they'll do. It's what happens after that you need to know about.
First, my grill had problems a few months after install while still under warranty. Instead of handling it, I was sent in circles between different companies for the warranty. Nobody would take ownership. It took me pushing hard before Byron Hood finally agreed to find a solution and I am still waiting on that solution.
Second, and worse: the project was completed in winter, so I had no reason to run my sprinklers. When summer came and I finally turned the system on, it didn't work. I assumed the problem was with the sprinklers themselves and paid to have people come look at it. What they found was a pipe damaged during Hobert's excavation that was never repaired. I brought this back to Hobert. Their answer, word for word: "we are not responsible for damaged lines underground."
So they dig up your yard, break a line, leave it unrepaired, and then tell you underground lines aren't their problem. Think about what that means for anyone hiring an excavation contractor and note that a winter dig means you may not even discover the damage until months later.
Bottom line: Hobert will complete the install. But if anything goes wrong afterward; warranty, damage, anything at all. Expect to be passed around, stonewalled, and left holding the bill. I'd hire someone who stands behind their work instead.

As a Contractor it’s hard to put your trust in someone else to schedule construction activities at your home. From the very start, everyone at Hobert Pools was professional and proactive when it came to scheduling, and coordination of subcontractors while my in-ground pool was being constructed! Angela was very responsive with communication regarding current and upcoming activities, and Tony was great to deal with regarding coordination & management of the work that was being performed. So far Byron has been just as responsive and clear with communication regarding the startup and warranty for my new pool. Overall one of the best experiences I’ve had with a pool contractor! I deal with many contractors on my projects and don’t always get same results that I just experienced with the team at Hobert, they did a great job, as promised!

Prime service deserves a review. In my case, Hobert Pools delivered nothing less than prime construction of the pool and its deck, end to end. Price was great, execution was timely and flawless, responsiveness and care was always present, quality of materials and equipment are upscale.
I wanted an all-in contract and only had 2 hickups: putting the fence back to order was not included in the contract and I had to add it as an extra when it was needed, and the sod recover was estimated and contracted as 2 pallets, but I needed to shop around and hire 3 additional pallets for full restoration.
