I called to rent a unit for about a week, but that’s not an option. I spoke with Jeffrey. He told me they were doing a special to get the first month free, so I would just pay for the insurance, the lock, and the operating fees. This worked out perfectly for me as I saved a lot of money and have plenty of time to get my stuff in and out of the storage unit. Jeffrey was so kind and informative and really cared about helping me in the best way possible! The unit itself is clean and well maintained. I know my things will be safe here, and I love that it’s air conditioned! There are gates to get in and out of the property, which is extra reassurance. The app is a great bonus as it makes it more convenient to digitally open the gates, doors, and elevators. I have appreciated this experience of keeping my things with Extra Space Storage Kyle.

The facility is clean, secure, and well maintained, so I have no complaints about the storage unit itself. My biggest frustration is the pricing. After only three months, my monthly rate increased significantly, and there don’t seem to be any reasonable long-term agreements that lock in a price. It’s incredibly frustrating to have to reevaluate my storage situation every 3–6 months, wondering if I’ll have to renegotiate or move all of my belongings because of another rate increase.
The only reason I’m still a customer is because of Frank. He took the time to listen to my concerns, explore available options, and help me find a solution that was much closer to my original budget. His patience, professionalism, and genuine willingness to help made all the difference.
If Extra Space Storage offered more stable, long-term pricing, I would happily give them five stars. Until then, I can’t recommend them without warning others that the frequent price increases can make long-term storage much more expensive than expected.
