I have a love for Lowes, especially considering they have Veteran Parking and they do cool little memorials during special occasions.
But their cashiers leave a lot to desire. When you go to input the information to apply your discount, it pops a screen up where the cashier says you must scan your I.D, except on that screen it specifically states "if you dont want to scan your i.d...."
I've never scanned my i.d at lowes for this discount and never will, but when you try to explain to the cashier this 100% seeable fact on the screen, they get huffy and want to interrupt you and send you to a whole different area to check out.
Usually I dont have much of a problem at Lowe's, but this cashier was rude, highoy unprofessional, and condescending.

So I needed an in-ground sprinkler saturday 8AUG, I stopped at this location. When I walked in there was no one there to help, and looking down right and left there was no sign saying plumbing. So I wandered around until I finally found someone at self checkout, who sent me outside to the garden area (I questioned that location) but Im not familiar with this layout so I went and looked there. Nope, hose sprinklers only. I went back inside down the middle isle and found plumbing ( i also checked the app). Anyway after much searching for the right one without luck, I found an employee, finally, named Chris. He was extremely helpful and stayed with me until we located the correct sprinkler. 4 stars only because it took me AWHILE!!! to find someone to help!!

Being a Home Depot guy most my life, I have to say heading to Lowe's wasn't easy for me. However, I have since seen the error of my ways and will now shop at Lowe's over Home Depot.
I have gone to 4 or 5 locations now, across 2 different states and I have to say that Lowe's wins in nearly every category.
Customer service - 10/10 the staff are so friendly and beyond willing to help. If you even give them a hint that you can't find what you are looking for, they are there to help.
Parking- 10/10 unlike the massively over congested parking lots of Home Depot, every Lowe's I have gone to has ample parking. ( Thanks for the veteran parking btw)

As much as I would like to say 10/10, no store has everything and unfortunately Milwaukee is not carried here.
If you've grown tired of homedepots crowdedness and the inability to get help when you need it. I suggest trying out your friendly neighborhood Lowe's

2 separate instances the wrong item has been delivered(supposed to be 22/32 plywood sheathing) the item I received wasn't even 3/8". I've now requested a refund, and I'll just use home depot, and pay the few dollars I was saving. Home Depot doesn't get it incorrect 2 times. Took a day off work and lost thousands to install the product for it to be wrong. I will say the customer service team is great, they get right on refunds and exchanges, just unfortunate the correct product cannot be delivered. Check your floor plan store manager, something isn't in the right spot and your order pickers aren't qualified enough to know the difference between 3/4 and 1/4"
