  Recently (May 2026) the service has been amazing. Anytime I’m looking at something, and usually looking a bit confused, an employee walks up and asks if they can help. I keep seeing it over and over recently. Greg was super helpful today as I was working on an electrical project and he took the time to educate me. And if they don’t know, they’ll find someone or look it up.

  Review: Allen + Roth 11-ft LED Lighted Offset Patio Umbrella Rating: ★★★★☆ This umbrella is a much-improved version of the earlier model. The product is well-designed, showing high levels of quality control throughout the manufacturing, assembly, and packing processes. Assembly & Build It is easy to assemble with clear instructions. The only obstacle I encountered was the rotating hub, which initially did not rotate. I was able to resolve this by loosening the three bottom bolts by a quarter turn. After that adjustment, everything else installed with ease. Base and Stability The plastic bottom weights can be filled with water or a mix of sand and water. In my experience, water alone provides sufficient weight to secure the base, even in strong winds, provided the umbrella is closed. I am holding off on adding sand unless it proves necessary later. Maintenance Recommendations To extend the life of the unit and prevent rust on the metal cross members, I suggest two preventative steps: Elevate the base: Place gym tiles underneath the cross members to keep them off the ground. Protective Coating: Apply a coat of Rust-Oleum paint to the metal frame before assembly to provide an extra layer of weather resistance. Overall, this is a thoughtfully produced and durable option for anyone looking for a large, lighted offset umbrella.

  I want to say a big thank you to Freddy at Lowe’s for his outstanding help. He was incredibly kind, patient, and attentive. Even though I initially declined assistance because I didn’t want to trouble him, he still kindly insisted on helping me. Freddy walked me all the way to my car and carefully loaded everything for me. His willingness to go above and beyond made my experience so much better. Truly excellent customer service Lowe’s is lucky to have him!

  I placed an order for 31 bags of vegetable and plant garden soil on Tuesday evening. When I place the order on lowes.com, I selected that I would pick it up curbside, paid for the item in full, and expected that my order would be there the day after when I went there to pick it up. Since I now live in the country, my husband drove almost 70 miles to the store to pick up our order. He was offered several different excuses as to why I order wasn't there, including that even though we paid for the order, it's not really ours it's more a first come first served basis. As a certified interior designer, landscape designer and Architectural space planner for 46 years, I have used Lowe's for at least two and a half or three decades. And as a Lowe's Pro, I have never experienced such unprofessionalism. This is very poor business practice. If you took my money it is my order and I have 7 days to pick it up according to your policy. We tried picking up the order less than 24 hours after it was placed, and wasted 2 and 1/2 hours, plus much frustration, to my husband. This is our first and only experience with the Cinco Ranch store, so I guarantee you we will not be going back. And we would never recommend ordering from the store ever.
