  I visited this World Market location on 8/19/26 around 6:15–6:20pm with my daughter, and unfortunately had a very uncomfortable experience. The moment I walked in, the African American woman working at the front made immediate eye contact with me. I smiled and began browsing since it was my first time in the store, but as I continued walking through the aisles, she made eye contact with me again in a way that felt watchful and uneasy. I am Hispanic, and there were two other Hispanic young women in the store who did not seem to be receiving the same level of attention. No customer should feel monitored or judged based on appearance. As we continued browsing, the atmosphere felt tense. When we approached the checkout area, the front associate switched out with a younger Hispanic employee, and I noticed the original African American associate staring toward the fridge area and side‑eyeing us. At that point, I no longer felt comfortable purchasing anything. As I was leaving, I heard the African American associate say, “I don’t know, I just feel uneasy,” to the Hispanic employee. I responded, “I wonder why,” and walked out. Being watched, judged, and openly talked about made me feel discriminated against and unwelcome. This was an unprofessional and unpleasant experience, and I will not be returning to this location.

  Huge shout out to Bene and Britney! Bene goes above and beyond to create an awesome customer experience, great eye for putting things together! Britney is always friendly and helpful. They are both super fun to engage with!
