After nearly TWO MONTHS of trying to get a dishwasher from this Lowe’s, I finally canceled my order today.
I was originally told the dishwasher would take about 20 days to come in. Since then, Lowe’s has repeatedly told both me and their installation company that it was in stock when it wasn’t. They even sent the installer to the store to pick it up, only for him to discover it wasn’t there.
Two weeks ago, Lowe’s called and told me AGAIN that the dishwasher was in stock at the store. Because of the previous issues, I specifically asked them to confirm it was physically there, and they assured me it was.
Today, after getting nowhere over the phone, I went to the store in person and discovered the dishwasher is actually BACKORDERED with no estimated availability date.
I canceled my order, walked across the parking lot to Best Buy, bought the exact same dishwasher, and it will be installed within three days.
I understand Lowe’s cannot control a manufacturer’s backorder, but they CAN control the information they give their customers. At this point, it feels like this store is more concerned with making the sale than actually getting the product into the customer’s hands.
Two months of misinformation and wasted time is completely unacceptable. I will not purchase another appliance from this Lowe’s.

I had a great experience at Lowe’s today. I placed an order for a generator this afternoon, but because I placed the order pretty late, it was still showing as “Not Ready for Pickup.”
Elizabeth and Kelson went out of their way to help me and made sure I was able to get the generator today. I really appreciate their patience, kindness, and excellent customer service. They made the whole experience much easier for me.

I've been shopping at the Bunker Hill Lowe's location for years and have visited this location so many times, especially recently while renovating my home. During the renovation, I was there every day, sometimes twice a day, and unfortunately, finding knowledgeable, attentive customer service had always been a challenge. That all changed when I met Leroy in the flooring department.
I had spent what felt like forever looking at every flooring option, completely overwhelmed by the choices. Leroy approached me and simply asked what I was looking for and how he could help. I explained that I wasn't concerned about the color or style nearly as much as I was about finding flooring that was waterproof and as mold resistant as possible. After a terrible experience with a previous home that wasn't properly maintained, I wanted to do everything I could to protect both my health and my new home.
Leroy listened patiently, understood exactly what I needed, and walked me through the best options without ever making me feel rushed or pressured. His knowledge, kindness, and genuine concern made what had been a stressful process incredibly easy.
I purchased the flooring I needed, and when the store didn't have enough boxes to complete my project, Leroy went above and beyond by locating other Lowe's stores that had the remaining inventory I needed. That level of customer service is rare and made all the difference.
Out of the countless times I've walked through the doors of the Bunker Hill location, this was, without question, the best customer service experience I've ever had there. Leroy's patience, expertise, and willingness to go the extra mile completely changed my impression of the store.
From now on, I'll be asking for Leroy every time I visit. If you're planning a flooring project (or any major home improvement purchase), I highly recommend seeking him out.
