    I visited the Ferguson Home showroom on Richmond Avenue because I am working on a major home renovation and wanted to speak with someone about selections. My first interaction was with Victoria Saldivar, the Showroom Coordinator, and it was extremely disappointing. I did not have an appointment, but I was not trying to bypass the process. I was asking how the process worked and how I could get connected with someone. Instead of explaining it professionally, she reprimanded me for not having an appointment and was dismissive in both tone and attitude. The issue was not the appointment requirement — it was the way I was treated for asking basic questions. When I asked to speak with a manager I was told there wasn’t a manager or anyone who could help me. I wandered the showroom on my own and had to ask another person for a manager or someone who could help. Thankfully, Spenser took ownership of the situation and provided real assistance. My experience is consistent with several reviews I read online after the fact. One reviewer, BeeTx2016, raised concerns that made me pause. I do not want to assume the reason for Victoria’s treatment, and I am still not sure what motivated it, but I do understand why that reviewer felt the way they did. Thankfully, Spencer Parks and Ammaad Khan turned the experience around. They were professional, knowledgeable, patient, and helpful. They treated my project with care and provided the level of service I expected from Ferguson. I am giving 3 stars because Spencer and Ammaad were excellent. Without them, this would have been a 1 star review.

    Walked in, not a person looked at me or engaged with me. Sales people checking their makeup in mirrors, gabbing with each other - recounting their weekends, receptionist staring at her phone. No one in the business of doing business. I walked around for over 10 minutes without a single employee looking at me. I’ll take my business elsewhere.

    Overpromised and underdelivered. I specifically asked to be notified if there would be any price increases and was told that I would be. If that wasn’t possible, it should have been communicated clearly upfront instead of setting an expectation that couldn’t be met. I was sourcing appliances for a new home—a significant purchase—and had already received strong quotes from three other suppliers. Based on the assurance I received, I decided to move forward here. However, by the time I finalized my order and got the invoice, ALL the remaining items had increased by several hundred dollars each, resulting in a total difference of several THOUSANDS dollars. When I raised the issue, they did not take responsible for their mistake. Debbie simply told me that I didn’t have to purchase from them—after I had already declined other suppliers who had invested time helping me with selections and quotes, and after other quotes are no longer valid - when I had no choice to start all over again. This experience felt like a bait-and-switch. It not only cost me money, stress, but also wasted days of my time and the time of other vendors I could have worked with instead. I tried to work this out many many times in a civil manner via calls & emails - at the end of the day, didn’t care and won’t take any responsibility for it. Please, I hope whoever is reading this doesn’t end up in a same situation. I do not write bad reviews of businesses, but this could have been dealt much better in their part. Not sure what I could have done better. There are many reputable suppliers out there such as Reece, K&N and FBS appliance store. Unfortunately, I regret choosing this one. Trust me, there are many that have competitive pricing, communicate well especially warning price increase when requested, or just honoring the quoted price.

Items cannot be returned or exchanged after 90 days from receipt of the order.
