  I’m torn writing this review because I truly love almost everything about this Leslie’s location. The staff here is incredibly knowledgeable and they have been an invaluable resource in helping us get our pool up and running. Whether it’s water testing or general advice, they are usually my go-to. ​However, I am very disappointed in the maintenance and repair department’s handling of my Polaris P825 pool vacuum. I brought it in for a diagnostic, and I was given a quote of around $400 to replace the motor bowl, drive gears, and free gear sets. ​Being a bit handy, I decided to open it up myself before committing to that price. I discovered that the only major issue was a missing track on the "free gear" side. Once the track is gone, the unit obviously won't propel, but the gears and motor block themselves were still operational. It felt like the repair quote was a "total overhaul" recommendation rather than a targeted fix for the actual problem. (The attached picture is the inside of the drive gear box to show the gears are in decent condition) ​I value this store’s expertise, but I’d caution others to get a second look at high repair quotes. I’ll be bringing the unit and parts back up to the store to give them a chance to explain the diagnosis. Hopefully, it was just a misunderstanding, and I will update this review based on that conversation.

  The people here are always so knowledgeable and friendly. I thought I needed a more expensive part for our pool vacuum, and the guy told me it likely just needed adjusted.

  Very expensive. When I asked why amazon has the same part for 1/3 the price, the guy said, well that's the price at my store and click, he hung up on me.
