I just went to purchase wood and a chicken fence. I emailed me the receipt. As I was walking out a guy from the register approached me and said, "Sir, the receipt please." I said, "I emailed it to me." He said, "Can I see it?" and I said, "Yes." He said, "Well I'm not trying to..." I felt that he was profiling me because of the way I was dressed because I'm Mexican. He thought that I was shoplifting. Very disrespectful. If you're gonna have self-checkout, you should be able to trust the people and if you don't trust the people you should have cashiers in all the registers. Not singling people out and making them feel that they are being accused of shoplifting in front of other people

To be upfront everybody else seemed very nice. Ive been shopping here for a decade or so. Been a year though b/c I've been going to main st. Location.
I ran into an elderly worker who said to me, "people are always having entrepreneurial activities at night". And I continued being kind saying, "yes, i mean it is over 100° in Texas during the day time". He interrupted and said, "its just my opinion". Very grunt like. And I said, "have a good night". Friendly. But dude just walked off with a disgruntled attitude. And he yelled out loud for everyone to hear, "GOTTA LOVE WORKING NIGHT SHIFTS". I really rather be left alone than experience that. I will say though he thought of what i was looking for and found it even though its not the department he works in and I appreciate that. He couldve just said I dont know. Maybe he was having a bad night idk.
Now im not expecting u to smile at me or even be nice. But if you feel disgruntled about your job keep it to yourself. Either management needs to be better about dividing responsibility, be more empathetic about individual situations at home or they need to talk because I really was there to be in & out. Not shop around. I arrived 15 minutes before close and I am a speed walker knowing exactly what I needed, but needed a little guidance finding it.
Lewisville location on main st. Is way better. Management and the people. They always make sure I feel welcomed and if I do arrive at night they even extend the extra offer of making sure im safe getting to my car. That is humanity & customer service at its finest. Happy workers. Again, I'm not saying everyone is like this, but this is my first experience after at least 6 months. A year and a half ago another worker was extremely helpful and going above and beyond to make sure I had what I needed. Similar to lewisville. That being said, I felt a need to comment what I experienced, so another individual does not feel this unwelcomed.
And I was at the register at 10:01pm. I was out the door by 10:03pm.

I wanted to share about the fantastic customer service experience I had at this Lowe’s. The Peach Truck had their pickup in the Lowe’s parking lot, and the Lowe’s staff did a fabulous job supporting this vendor. The Lowe’s employees kept offering ice cold water to everyone in line, and they had misting fans on - that they were raffling away - to help keep us cool with the 97 degree weather. Everyone was so attentive and made sure everyone was comfortable in line. Wonderful job!!
