I am deeply disappointed by how my family and I have been treated at Extra Space Storage after being long-term paying tenants.
In my experience, District Manager Chris Skinner and New Site Manager Bryan H. have repeatedly targeted and harassed us by questioning our housing situation and careers. We were also falsely accused of loitering and soliciting on the property while lawfully accessing and organizing our own storage unit. After these encounters, the lights inside our storage unit were turned off, which appeared retaliatory and made it more difficult for us to use a space we pay for.
What makes this especially frustrating is that District Manager, Chris Skinner has failed to return our calls when we have legitimate concerns, yet he has participated in making serious and damaging accusations about our conduct and character. We have invested significant money, time, and effort into being customers of this company, and we do not deserve to be treated with suspicion, humiliation, or disrespect.
The repeated questioning and unequal treatment have left us feeling discriminated against and unwelcome. I am extremely disappointed by what Extra Space Storage has become. This experience has wasted my family’s money and time and has caused unnecessary emotional distress. I am requesting that corporate management investigate these incidents, review any available records or surveillance footage, restore reliable access to the lighting in our unit, and ensure that we can use our rented space without further harassment or retaliation.
