  I bought a new Pentair pool filter and Pentair pump from Leslie's pool approximately 9 months ago. All of the equipment and PVC plumbing was replaced and installed by Leslie's. About a month ago, I noticed a small leak coming from the newly installed PVC piping. I called the store on Coit and Spring Valley where I purchased the equipment which was installed by them and talked to the manager, Ben. I was told that this was not the stores responsibility and the the service department would call me to let me know if the problem would be covered. I waited a week and received no call. After a week, I went to the store and talked to Ben. I have never in my 72 years of life have never been mistreated this way. I was rudely told that Leslie's, much to my surprise, was not allowed to work on Pentair equipment. This was never explained at the time of purchase. After showing him several pictures it was clearly evident that this was NOT an equipment problem but a poor installation problem. He then rudely stated that I should contact the installer and arrange for him to fix it at my cost. I explained that I did not hire the installer, I hired and paid Leslie's. After several more unpleasant and heated conversations, he told me there was nothing more he could do and he would have a district manager call me. I am still waiting!!! This is clearly where the statement "Buyer Beware" comes into play.
