- TETye EdwardsAug 26, 20261.0Phone or staff needs some work.. called 3 times asking for fabric was ok hold for 3+ minutes the first time, second time one minute with no acknowledgment of the fact that I mentioned I was on hold for forever. Third time, after saying I’ve called twice and no one was answering the same guy from the other two calls said I apologize. And I asked if there was someone I could speak to about whether an item was in stock I was met with no response… and instead, silence. he transferred me again… if you are not going to be helpful why even bother answering the phone.

- APAshley PAug 21, 20261.0I was really disappointed with my experience during my most recent visit. I came in to return a small item I had purchased for a bachelorette party but ended up not using. The item was originally purchased with a gift card, and unfortunately, I no longer had the receipt. From the beginning, I felt a surprising amount of judgment from both the employee assisting me and the manager because I didn’t have the receipt and hadn’t purchased the item with a credit card. What should have been a very simple interaction became unnecessarily uncomfortable — especially considering this was over a $10 item. I completely understand that stores have return policies, and I have no issue being told that something cannot be returned. My disappointment was with how the situation was handled and how I was made to feel in the process. There was simply no reason for such a minor situation to become so uncomfortable. I do want to recognize Lisa, who was an absolute gem and was incredibly kind during my visit. I ended up purchasing a puzzle before leaving, and her friendliness was genuinely appreciated. Just a heads-up for anyone shopping at Hobby Lobby with a gift card from Christmas, a birthday, etc.: make sure you hold onto your receipt, even for inexpensive purchases, in case you need to make a return later. Unfortunately, after this experience, I’ll also be asking my family not to purchase Hobby Lobby gift cards for me in the future. A little kindness and good customer service can go a long way — even when the answer to a return is simply “no.”
