I haven't rented a storage unit in years, and every time, the procedures have changed. The first problem was the pricing. They only tell you about all the extra charges when it came time to put your payment info in. I had to raise the money from family to get this unit, and their pricing strategy made it necessary for me to keep asking for more.
It also was not made clear to me that the office was closed on Sundays and my key would be in the unit with the lock. So the whole thing was much more stressful than it would have been had communication been better. But I am in and I got through it.
The biggest plus is the manager of the location, although his name escapes me now. He bent over backwards to help me get it all done. I was frustrated and confused, and his assistance was very helpful.
