  I have been going to the Josey Lane location for over 20 years. Never have had a problem. Both Jason and Matt provide the absolute Best Customer Service. They are willing to research and assist with whatever it takes to get the job done. I highly recommend this location and the staff. Both Jason and Matt will not disappoint!! Thanks

  I recently had a disappointing experience with Leslie's Pool while trying to replace a pool light. I visited the store last week and explained that I needed a new pool light installed. The representative at the counter told me that if I purchased the light from Leslie's, they would install it. Based on that understanding, I purchased the light. After paying, I asked how to schedule the installation, and only then was I told there would be an additional $350 installation charge. This came as a surprise because the installation was presented as something included if I bought the light from them. When I questioned the discrepancy, the employee became defensive and stated that he "didn't know it was going to be that much." What made the situation more frustrating is that I had gone through this exact process with Leslie's in September 2024 and still had a written quote showing the light installation included at no additional charge. When I pointed this out, I was simply told that I could return the light if I wasn't happy with the pricing. To try to resolve the issue, I agreed to have a technician come out and provide a quote. I was told to be available between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., and the technician arrived at 11:50. I showed him my previous written quote that included installation. He explained that Leslie's only honors quotes for 30 days and estimated the installation would likely cost around $300. Notably, this estimate was given before he even looked at the pool. He also mentioned a current $99 installation promotion but wasn't sure whether pool lights qualified. After making a phone call, he informed me that the promotion did not apply. The biggest issue here is the lack of consistent information. One employee says installation is included, another says it's $350, a technician estimates $300 without inspecting the job, and there is confusion about which promotions apply. As a customer, it's difficult to know what information is accurate. I have always been willing to pay a little more at Leslie's because I believed the extra cost came with knowledgeable staff and reliable service. Unfortunately, this experience has changed that perception. If I have to double-check every quote and worry about surprise charges, there is little reason not to purchase pool supplies online for less money. The value of a brick-and-mortar retailer comes from expertise, transparency, and customer service. Based on this experience, Leslie's fell short in all three areas. It's disappointing to see a company that once had a strong reputation moving in this direction.
