- WWWendolyn WashingtonJun 8, 20261.0I attempted to purchase a plant pot that was explicitly marked with a sale sticker. At the register, the employee tried to sale the pot at non-sale price. When I brought this discrepancy to the clerk's attention, the employees refused to honor the price indicated on the item. Instead of addressing the shelf-pricing error professionally, the staff insinuated that , a customer, had manually moved the sale sticker onto the plant pot.Seeking a reasonable resolution, I escalated the matter up the chain of command. I spoke directly with the Store Manager (Janet), the District Manager (Chris Stephen), and ultimately the Regional Leader (Toni L.). Shockingly, no level of management was willing to rectify the situation or honor the sticker price. Due to this total lack of resolution, I was forced to leave the store without making the purchase.Texas consumer guidelines and standard retail best practices dictate that when an item is mistakenly marked or tagged by store staff, the business should honor that price as a matter of good faith and accurate representation. Deflecting blame onto a customer to cover up an employee marking error is a severe breach of retail ethics.Because of how poorly this was handled by Janet, Chris, and Toni, I will no longer support or shop at Hobby Lobby.
