I love shopping at this Hobby Lobby location, but the customer service really needs improvement. The employees are often rude, unhelpful, and don’t seem to know where items are located.
On my most recent visit, as closing time approached, I felt pressured to leave even though I was just finishing up my shopping. I was repeatedly reminded that the store was closing and was even told that the registers were going to be closed. Employees were speaking with a rude, sarcastic attitude, and one employee yelled to another right next to me, “Will you tell the customer we’re going to be closing?”
I completely understand that employees want to finish their shifts and go home, but customers should still be treated with courtesy and respect. The lack of professionalism made for a very unpleasant experience and honestly ruined my day. Please do better with customer service and how customers are treated near closing time

used to love shopping here! bought an outside toy for my son but discovered a piece was defective and I took it all back to the store I bought it from but they wouldn't let me do an even exchange as (that would be pointless on their end cause they cannot resell it and would have to throw it in the dumpster" ok but now I am out of $30 and a toy for my son . DON'T SHOP HERE

As a bonafide crafter, I enjoy visiting the Bastrop Hobby Lobby. It has been my experience to find great prices, a clean and welcoming environment, friendly cashiers and a great selection of items to choose from. I think that all these attributes reflect well on the management staff and their desire to provide exceptional service! The only downside about shopping there is that my self control disappears somewhere between the aisles and my bank account definitely notices by the time I leave!

Bad experience because of the staff! Went with my 2 small children and my mother recently and we were profiled. My son had accidentally broke a little wooden sign and I put it in my cart to pay for it later and kept shopping. Later on I notice an employee, (I asked for her name someone said it was Jamie although I'm not for sure if that's her or the managers name, real white trashy looking with piercings and tattoos and a bun) whispering with another employee and looking at my cart and pointing to it. She had such an attitude from the moment I saw her, she was rolling her eyes and talking about me. Immediately after that I noticed a manager (older white woman, short blonde hair and glasses, wears regular clothes) following me around, every aisle I went to she was there at the end of it, acting like she was fixing things on the shelves and trying to make fake conversation about my 8 month old baby. Once I had enough I told my mom I wanted to leave so we went to the registers. I turn around and there she is behind us watching as if to make sure we're not stealing or something. Once it's my turn to pay, the first thing I told the cashier (Christina) was that I was paying for this sign that my kid broke. She says "oh no we don't make you do that here, it's okay" I said "oh really, so then why am I being followed and whispered about?" and I pointed to the 2 people, she looked horrified and apologized sincerely because apparently THIS IS A REGULAR THING HERE. Then here comes Jamie and she's talking to the cashier, telling her she will talk to her about it later, even though I'm asking her directly what her problem is more than once, all she does is say "if you have a problem you need to talk to the manager" and pointed to the lady watching us and walked away. Then the manager still comes over, ignoring me and talking to my baby and tried touching her, I told her to get away from us and she walked away smiling and laughing like nothing happened. I will say this, Jamie or whatever your name is, had my kids and mother not been with me that day, things would have been very different girl, acting tough in a hobby lobby but what about outside? 😉
I'll gladly take my frequent business to the Austin hobby lobbies only from now on. These 2 definitely need to be looked at because from these other reviews I'm not the only one!
