Purchased 2 appliances expected both to arrive in 2 days. Only 1 did. The other has now been delayed 2 weeks.
Called Lowes for information for information not on receipt. Calls usually go to horrible voice response that doesn't want you to talk to a person. After learning that it only knew the words "appliance sales associate", i asked for the appliance sales associate. Then it would say "in a sentence tell me what you need." When I did, it would give me an incomplete canned response that didn't help.
On an occasion when it seemed like I was going to be connected, after 10 minutes it hung up on me. The next day when I called, after I told it appliance sales associate 3x (Beetlejuice) it finally connected me.
At no time did it provide an option to leave a message.
The delivery of the first appliance did go well. The delivery had a 3 pm to 7 pm windows and arrived at 4.

I’ve ordered appliances from Lowe’s for many years. I’ve always even been OK paying a little extra because of the great service. They have changed the delivery company, and the delivery process has become a mess. I would not recommend buying appliances from Lowe’s until they change their delivery process.

I had an issue with an online order that ended up taking almost an hour and a half to get resolved, and honestly, I was getting pretty frustrated. But I have to give a huge shoutout to Taylor and Hannah.
They were so patient, kind, and helpful the entire time. They worked with me until everything was figured out and never once made me feel rushed or like I was bothering them.

Sharing this to help others make an informed decision before purchasing a door through Lowe's installation program here in Austin.
We started in June 2025 and were told our custom double doors would be measured, ordered, and installed within four to six weeks. We cancelled the order in December 2025 — six months later — having never received the doors.
What went wrong:
- After measurement, no one contacted us to collect payment. We had to chase it down ourselves, with several different people.
- After we paid ~$4,000 in full, the door still wasn't ordered for another week — until we called to check.
- The delivery date moved five times: Oct 1 → Oct 15 → Nov 19 → Dec 17 → Jan 14. We were rarely notified proactively.
- We spoke with more than 20 different employees across the in-store team, IST, and delivery – over six months of our year. Almost none had context from prior calls. We re-explained our situation from scratch every time.
- Our original salesperson Simon became unreachable for months despite Lowe’s confirming he still worked there.
- Lowe's delivery repeatedly tried to ship the door frame and installation materials without the actual door. I had to call multiple times over several months to stop partial deliveries — including one attempted on Christmas Eve while I was traveling.
- Even the refund process took multiple calls, a mailed gift card, and an in-person store visit to finalize.
After six months, we did receive a full refund of the $4000 plus $250 when I asked for compensation for this maddening ridiculousness. A few reps along the way genuinely tried to help. The problem isn't the people — it's a system with no clear ownership, poor team communication, and no one accountable for seeing a project through.
If you're considering a custom door installation through Lowe's, go in with clear expectations and a lot of patience. We wouldn't do it again.
Update: Based on Lowe’s response below, I contend Lowe’s actually has zero reliability or pride when it comes to customer support for door installation projects.

I am sick of them upselling me. They come off being your friend when you want to buy something and tell you what can go wrong fear mongering you to buy an upgrade if they are problem solvers. You come in to buy one thing and they ask you do you need... or say we have this on sale trying to get you to buy three or four items. If they come up and ask you a question they are upselling. If I ask a question they are always upselling or pushing a credit card on you how you can save money when they make more money off of you on your credit card balance and interest on the card.

It appears that I’ve been charged multiple times for an order. How can I resolve this?
These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s. Orders shipped in multiple shipments will be charged separately at time of shipment; therefore, you may see multiple charges, but they'll never exceed the full amount of your order. For orders with longer lead times, your method of payment will be reauthorized to ensure funds remain available until your item is shipped. If you observe multiple pending authorizations, please contact your financial institution as each bank’s policies differ on how long authorizations are held.
