- DTDavid TorresMay 9, 20261.0What should have been a simple storage unit experience turned into one of the most frustrating customer service situations I’ve dealt with, all because of the way Vincent handled communication and payments. I actually rent and pay for 3 storage units every month with Extra Space Storage, and I’ve never had issues like this at any other location. This problem is specifically with this location and the way Vincent manages customers and communication. Vincent personally called me and clearly told me that I had until Friday to make my payment before any late fees would be applied. Based on that direct conversation, I trusted the information I was given and planned accordingly. However, when I went into the app to make the payment, my balance had suddenly increased to $369 instead of the regular amount I was expecting. What made the situation even worse was the complete lack of accountability afterward. Instead of acknowledging the misinformation or trying to resolve the issue professionally, the situation was handled in a dismissive and unhelpful way. Customers should be able to trust the information given to them by management, especially when it involves payments and fees. This experience was frustrating enough that I have already submitted my move-out notice and decided to take my business elsewhere. It’s honestly disappointing that something as simple as renting a storage unit turned into such a stressful and negative experience because of poor communication and misleading information. I genuinely do not understand the positive reviews praising Vincent based on my personal experience. In my opinion, he is incompetent, misleading, and unprofessional. Professionalism, communication, and accountability matter when managing customers and their accounts, and unfortunately I did not experience any of those qualities here. I hope corporate sees this review and takes it seriously, because customers deserve honest communication and better management than what I experienced at this location.
