These treatments deliver quick, painless, predictable, subtle results, so you look like you, only with less noticeable facial lines and wrinkles. It’s a quick 10 minute treatment, with minimal downtime. You may expect to notice results within 24 to 48 hours for moderate to severe frown lines. HOW DOES BOTOX WORK? Botox, along with Dysport and Xeomin are medicines (neuromodulators) composed of a form of botulinum toxin that is used to relax targeted facial muscles. These medicines inhibit nerve signals from reaching the muscles and preventing the muscles from contracting. By temporarily weakening these muscles, your face is able to relax and create a softer, more rested appearance, as the creases and wrinkles in the skin overlying those muscles are smoothed out and softened. WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT? The effects from Botox usually last three to four months. As the effects wear off, the muscle contractions begin to return. Wrinkles and lines can start to reappear and will likely need to be treated again. The lines and wrinkles will appear less severe with time as the muscles get used to being relaxed.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS HOW DOES DYSPORT WORK? Dysport treats moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows by reducing specific muscle activity. Wrinkles are caused by repeated movements and muscle contractions. One injection into each of the 5 points between and above the eyebrows temporarily prevents muscle contractions that cause frown lines. WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT? The majority of users see improvement in just 2-3 days after treatment. In just one 10 to 20 minute treatment, Dysport may help improve the look of your frown lines between the eyebrows for up to 5 months. Results of repeat treatments may be comparable to your first use. Another plus? There is minimal downtime after your treatment, which means you can get back to your day faster.

HOW DOES JUVEDERM WORK? Juvederm, a type of dermal filler, works almost immediately by adding volume and smoothing out deep wrinkles in the face. Clear gel formulations of hyaluronidate—a naturally occurring substance in your skin, helps to add volume and hydration. The injectable gel instantly restores your skin’s volume and smooths away facial wrinkles and folds, like your “smile lines” or “parentheses” (nasolabial folds—the creases that run from the bottom of your nose to the corners of your mouth). WHAT CAN I EXPECT? Juvederm provides a natural look and feel—so everyone will notice (but no one will know!) The injection process usually takes 15 minutes and is relatively painless due to the presence of anesthetic within the hyaluronidate. WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT JUVEDERM PRODUCTS? Juvederm fillers consist of several different products JUVEDERM VOLUMA Voluma corrects age-related cheek and deep face volume loss, lasting up to 2 years. JUVEDERM VOLBELLA Volbella is used many times in the delicate eye area to improve the appearance of dark circles and lower eyelid bags as well as providing plumpness, definition and volume to the lips. JUVEDERM VOLLURE Vollure is used to soften facial wrinkles and create a smoother appearance, lasting up to 18 months. JUVEDERM XC Similar to Vollure filler, XC is used to reduce the appearance of facial wrinkles, lasting up to 18 months.

HOW DOES RESTYLANE® WORK? Restylane can be used to add volume and fullness to the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds). Restylane may also be used for lip enhancement in patients over 21 years. WHAT CAN I EXPECT? Treatment with a product from the Restylane family typically takes less than one hour (individual treatment times may vary). Generally, there is minimal downtime associated with treatment using the Restylane family of products. WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT RESTYLANE PRODUCTS? Restylane is a very diverse product with formulations different in the way they address each part of the face and correct different problems. The heavier products are used to treat cheeks, the jawline, and the temple areas. The more fine and thin products are for the more delicate areas around the eyes, lips, and fine lines of the face. RESTYLANE REFYNE Refyne is designed to help soften laugh lines and can help restore a more natural look to your face while maintaining facial expressions. RESTYLANE DEFYNE Defyne helps smooth out deep laugh lines and wrinkles on the face and is able to maintain a natural-looking appearance and restore youthfulness as well. RESTYLANE LYFT Lyft is used to add volume to your cheeks and hands for a fuller and smoother appearance.

BROW PTOSIS Eyebrows Dropping Lower Than Normal Brow Ptosis results from a weakening of the primary muscles that hold up the brow. This can be caused by aging, trauma or previous eye surgery. Correction of mild to moderate Brow Ptosis can be accomplished through an incision directly above the brows, in the forehead creases, or at the hairline. For more significant cases of Brow Ptosis, or to address deep frown lines or lateral hooding of the upper lids, it may be necessary to raise the brows and forehead through incisions hidden behind the hairline. The muscles that pull the brow down and crease the forehead skin are relaxed, which allow the brow to be raised into a more youthful position.

UPPER EYELID BLEPHAROPLASTY (Eyelid Lift) Droopy, Saggy, Tired Eyelids A Blepharoplasty restores a youthful appearance around the eyes, decreases the feeling of heavy eyelids and can help improve vision in serious cases. This procedure involves removing excess skin and tissue from the upper eyelid, with an incision made at the eyelid crease. This results in a natural looking and younger appearance. Reasons for acquiring an Upper Blepharoplasty may be cosmetic or functional. LOWER EYELID BLEPHAROPLASTY (Lower Eyelid Lift) Droopy, Saggy, Tired Lower Eyelids, Bags, And Dark Circles A Blepharoplasty restores a youthful appearance around the eyes, decreases the feeling of heavy bags and can help improve vision in serious cases. This procedure involves removing or repositioning the excess skin and tissue on your lower eyelid’s natural crease. This creates a more awake and youthful appearance. ENTROPION Eyelids That Turn In Entropion is an inward turning of the eyelid toward the eyeball, resulting in irritation of the eye by the eyelashes. The procedure to fix Entropion involves an incision to be made on the outside of the eyelid, then tightening of the tendons. A graft or a small piece of tissue to be surgically placed on the eyelid and in result, causing a reposition of the eyelid and stopping the pull and irritation the patients feel. ECTROPION Eyelids That Turn Out Ectropion is a condition where the eyelid turns outward, which leaves the inner eyelid exposed and easily irritated. The procedure to fix Ectropion involves tightening of the tendons that would normally be holding the eyelid into the correct position and placing a skin graft or tissue on the lid to reposition it. PTOSIS Eyelids That Droop A drooping eyelid is called ptosis or blepharoptosis. In ptosis, the upper eyelid falls to a position that is lower than normal. In severe cases of ptosis, the drooping eyelid can cover part or all of the pupil and interfere with vision, resulting in amblyopia. Treatment of Ptosis is usually a Blepharoplasty Surgery. EYELID TWITCHING (Blepharospasm) Blepharospasm is an abnormal contraction in the eyelid muscles. These involuntary eyelid twitches can be caused by a number of things, such as: an allergy, an irritation of the eyeball, crying, caffeine, anxiety, or an acute emotional event. Treatments for this are reducing stress or cutting out caffeine, botulinum toxins and in some cases surgery. PERIOCULAR SKIN CANCERS (Basal Cell/Squamous Carcinoma) Skin Cancers Around The Eye For skin cancers around the eye, delicate excision of the lesion with precise reconstruction with or without and possible MOHs surgery are the most common treatment plans. MOHs surgery is a specialized tissue sparing surgical technique used to treat skin cancer on the face. By removing and examining layers of the dermis the skin cancer can be removed while preserving delicate eyelid structures as well as minimize residual scarring on the face.

ENUCLEATION AND EVISCERATION Loss Of An Eye Enucleation is the surgical removal of the entire eye. Evisceration is the surgical removal of the contents of the eye, leaving the sclera(white part of the eye) and the eye muscles intact. Having these ocular surgeries performed are due to tumors in the eye, eyes with severe trauma, and painful or blind eyes. THYROID EYE DISEASE Red, Swollen, Bulging Eyes Thyroid Eye Disease is a condition when the eye muscles, eyelids, tear glands, and the tissue behind the eyes become inflamed. This causes the swollen and red look to the eyes and can be irritating and uncomfortable as the eyes are pushed forward. Treatments for this condition include lubricating eye drops, cold compresses applied to the eyes and in more serious cases medications or eyelid or orbital surgery.
