Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

- KPKim ProppAug 8, 20265.0Whataburger always has such an inviting atmosphere. The colorful decorations and the friendly staff that greets me with a, "Hi,Welcome to Whataburger," makes me feel Welcome.
- ASAlly SAug 8, 20263.0Friendly staff, but my goodness, every time I go through the drive thru, it is a 10-15 minute wait or more. This last time it was almost 20 min, and once you are stuck in the drive through, there is no getting out.
- MCMichelle CAug 8, 20265.0We visited on 8:8/26, which apparently was designated as National Whataburger Day. We were treated so well! We were greeted by chalk drawings on the sidewalk by the door and there were balloons in the dining room. As soon as we entered we were greeted by “Welcome to Whataburger!” One of the young ladies explained it was the chain’s 76th birthday and we told her that we came from out of state. She gave us a couple of Whataburger beaded necklaces and table tents which made our day. Thank you so much! It was a wonderful experience!

She greated everyone coming in and out. Took orders and anything anyone needed without hesitation. Bathrooms ran out of toilet paper and she had it filled in an instant. Great worker.

The real stars of our visit, though, were Stephanie and Emilee. They were incredible! They were constantly checking on customers, bringing around condiments, delivering food, and keeping everything running smoothly. They handled the restaurant like absolute pros while still being friendly and welcoming. Great food is always a plus, but outstanding employees are what make people want to come back. Stephanie and Emilee deserve a big shoutout for all their hard work. We'll definitely be back!
