Title: We Came for Crab. We Left with a New Standard for Hospitality. 🦀⭐ Some restaurants serve food. Some restaurants create memories. Then there’s Joe’s Crab Shack in Sevierville, where, thanks to Dillon, eight hungry travelers were transformed from a mildly chaotic family gathering into what can only be described as a beautifully orchestrated seafood expedition. Douglas Adams once suggested the universe was stranger than we could possibly imagine. He neglected to mention that somewhere in Tennessee there exists a server who can keep eight people happy, drinks full, orders perfectly straight, and somehow make it all look effortless. That omission has now been corrected. Dillon wasn’t simply taking orders. He was conducting an edible symphony. Every drink arrived before anyone realized it was empty. Every question was answered before we had to ask it. Every plate landed exactly where it belonged, despite our table resembling a family reunion that had wandered into a crustacean convention. The food was outstanding. Fresh seafood, perfectly prepared, generous portions, and not a single disappointment among eight different opinions—which, statistically speaking, is slightly less likely than discovering intelligent life in a bowl of clam chowder. But great food can be found in many places. Great people are much rarer. Dillon’s sense of humor, professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine enthusiasm elevated an already excellent meal into one of the highlights of our Smoky Mountain vacation. He never made us feel rushed. He anticipated needs before they became requests. Most importantly, he made us feel like guests instead of transactions. Restaurants spend fortunes trying to manufacture “the customer experience.” Joe’s Crab Shack already has it. His name is Dillon. If you’re visiting the Sevierville location, ask for him. Your stomach will thank you, your family will thank you, and somewhere the Restaurant Gods will quietly nod in approval that at least one establishment still understands that hospitality isn’t just about serving food—it’s about making people glad they chose your table. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Dillon, thank you for making an already wonderful family day even better. We’ll absolutely be back.

We had dinner here last night and overall had a really great experience. Our initial server, Dillon, was amazing—very personable, attentive, and even from up north like myself 🙂. The next server who took over was also very kind and helpful. The food was good. The only downside for me was the Cajun butter on my steak—it was extremely salty, but thankfully I didn’t spread it all over. The trio sampler was really good, especially the spinach and artichoke dip. My sister ordered the Cajun crab and blackened chicken pasta, and that was delicious as well. My nephew had Joe’s burger and really enjoyed it. They also had a photographer there taking pictures. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and had a great time.

This is the second Joe's Crab shack that has really been disappointing. The food was TERRIBLE 🤢my daughter & I got the pasta it was dry my chicken was burnt & her shrimp had no flavor. My husband & sons got the seafood boil needless to say I guess they ran out of seasoning if butter had not been brought out they would have eaten plan unflavored seafood. The service was AMAZING the host & our server made this place they definitely should do some training in the kitchen or hire new help.

Horrible experience, waitress and manager where rude, a lot of mess ups with the food and drinks, oce we finally all got our food the manager interrupts our family dinner to say there is a mandatory extra 20% charge for groups over than 5 people. We all agreed that was very rude to interrupt our dinner to say that even infront of other guests and our children. Once we left we realized they actually over charged our card and had to call our bank to fix it. Not a good experience and dont recommend especially to people going with over 6 people.
