We decided to walk up and order from the stall right outside the store. It took a very long time before anyone answered and then they placed us on hold. Another extraordinarily long time passed before they came back on the mic and placed our orders in motion. True to their nature it took way longer than it should have and when I was almost to the point of walking out one of their waitresses came and asked what exactly it was that we had ordered, frustrating. Anyways, the food finally arrives and my extra long cheese coney was still cold inside, and the tots tasted like they had been cooked in grease that was months past it needing to be changed point. Lastly, the tables that they had for their walk-up customers were so filthy it looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a very long time.

A solid sonic location. Both park and eat and drive thru. GM was nice. Quick service.

It’s honestly been years and years since I’ve seen customer service as well as it is at this particular sonic.
There was a mistake but the manager, Amanda, corrected it with the utmost grace and professionalism! Very impressed. Will be visiting here every time I come through Newport.

You better hope you have all your teeth because if not, the onion rings will break them. I ordered on the app. It told me my order would be ready at 5:07 p.m. by 5:17 p.m. They still hadn’t brought it and when she finally did bring it out with no drink so she had to go back in and find the drink the place employees look like they need cleaned up and the place looks like an aunt cleaned up m
July 14 - IfI could give the Newport, TN Sonic a zero, I would. No wonder very few people were there. Absolutely NOT to the Sonic Standards.
When my wife and I was “ordering” our food a Sonic Worker was outside at the tables smoking. When she got up from the table she needed to pull her shorts up so we didn’t see her crack, but she didn’t, because her shirt wasn’t long enough to cover her shorts.
Then another female worker came out of the Newport, TN Sonic carrying her vape she got from her Kavu having in the store and went to her car to smoke it. Not long, another female employee came out to the car. Mind you there were three cars in the drive through and a few under the awning. All waiting for our food orders, but three of the employees were more worried about their smoke breaks….
It gets better..
The lady with the vape got out of her car and headed back to work. After she opened the Sonic Restaurant door she took a last vape hit, and after the door shut she exhaled inside the Newport, TN Sonic Restaurant. Needless to say we did not eat our ordered food.
Not to Sonic Standards. As a loyal Sonic Customer, who visits a Sonic somewhere in East TN at least weekly, this is not acceptable.
