Chef David is the real deal - great with the fish, great with the room, just an amazing dude to sit across from for an hour and a half. Every course landed. Service was dialed in start to finish, and the whole hidden-speakeasy thing behind the Parlour Bar is a fun way to walk into a meal. If you're downtown and want a proper omakase instead of another hot chicken line, this is the spot. Ask for David.

We were greeted warmly and incredibly well taken care of from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. And the FOOD! Absolutely amazing. Every single piece was packed with flavor and somehow had a completely different “wow” factor from the one before it. We kept thinking, “Okay, that one was my favorite,” and then the next piece would come out and surprise us all over again. It was honestly impressive how delicious every single bite was. Reagan, Matthew, and Nick were incredibly attentive and made us feel so welcomed throughout the entire experience. Their hospitality was top-notch. Chef David truly made the night, though! Not only is he clearly a master at his craft, but he was such a pleasure to be around. He kept the conversation interesting, funny, and fun while also teaching us so much along the way. It made the entire omakase experience feel personal rather than just like going out for dinner. We left full, impressed, and already talking about doing it again. We can’t wait to try Sushi By Bou in other cities! If you’re looking for more than just a great meal and want an actual dining experience, this is absolutely worth it.
